Well, a cup of hot coffee ☕ and Willie Nelson's number

🎶 Always On My Mind 🎶.......... ah, lovely!

and the verses...

🎶 Maybe I didn't love you

Quite as often as I could have

Maybe I didn't treat you

Quite as good as I should have

If I made you feel, oh, second best (you did, you did)

Girl, I'm sorry I was blind

unixbhaskar,

@apgarcia Oh, I missed Elvis's version of it and started with Willie's one.

But as you said, love one to the ears. :)

It is with some sadness I have learned not everything can be solved with a Unix command.

unixbhaskar,

@apgarcia Like?

Well, modern kiddos' work environments are full of crap and to get that sorted those time-tested tools might fail.

Is anything particular in mind??

unixbhaskar,

@apgarcia You might try using more than one command to convince your desire.

You could plead with restore command.

Alright, it's been 10 days, since I haven't updated the system..time to do so. :)

Showing off...my browsers are heavily tweaked and minimalist and I do lots of unknown stuff, IOW do not use popular things too much

It's mine, right? :)

Well, a cup of hot coffee ☕ and some JAZZ 🎶

Pro tip: less can filter the lines it displays. Hit the “&” key and enter a search pattern. You’ll only see lines matching the pattern.

Want to only see lines that don’t match the pattern? Prefix the pattern with an exclamation mark.

Super useful when looking at logs, for example.

The man page is definitely worth a read, it can do a bunch more stuff you might find interesting.

unixbhaskar,

@scy Cool

unixbhaskar,

@Wyatt so many things in a update script producing this ...plus I snipped the all output ...took just a screenful. :)

unixbhaskar,

@Wyatt I run my system with a very minimal set of software. Because my work doesn't need too many to have in the system. So, as a result, the update and upgrade are most of the time pretty small including their dependency. This lean system has evolved over the decades of use. Removing unnecessary stuff is one big thing I have learned from using things and helps. Adding is easy and it brings overhead too. Lastly, I have built my own kernel over two decades on various other distros I have used. :)

unixbhaskar,

Alright, kiddos, if you want to see commit-by-commit changes of this new kernel, then look here : https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v6.x/ChangeLog-6.5

What a paradox.....people come with a problem but talk about it like an "expert".

Meh ...where these monkeys are coming from???? Irks...

It looks like "shallowed confidence" is an incurable disease spread. Heck...

Well, a cup of hot coffee ☕ and Leonard Cohen's

🎶 Hallelujah 🎶 ......ah lovely !

Fixing developer stupidity is NOT the responsibility of the end user....

Damn, it is your job to fix the damn thing and ship and reship.

If you see people promote sideways to the mistake, then don't listen to them in the first place.

unixbhaskar, to vim

Nope, I don't need fancy stuff in my day-to-day editors, where I spend most of my time fiddling with my stupidity.

But, why the fuck, are "experts in those tools" promoting those "fancy" ..."eye-candy" things, plus why the heck, do they promote utterly useless complex config ..

unixbhaskar, to random

Why do we poor people always get sucked by this upheaval pretense?????

unixbhaskar, to linux

Well, a cup of hot coffee ☕ and some peeking ...
