the state of #Apple #Safari browser is just embarrassing, I have tried living with it again and there are so many sites that don't properly work with it. All of them fine on firefox and chrome btw, so no, it is not the website....

#Safari is the true successor to internet explorer...

@yvz Most issues resolve around Websites that allow interactions like searching or menu buttons that either do not open or do not dismiss after use. Something I have less often is that websites out of google search just respond an Error 500 while perfectly working on desktop firefox. After a couple of minutes it magically works on the iPhone as well

@yvz Interestingly on the iPad some of the websites work with Firefox, although as you pointed out, it also uses WebKit. and reproducibly not with Safari which is even odder

Returning my new #Casio. Sorry guys. :(

I didn't even get a photo. The text was too small for my eyes to read unaided, and the bezel felt cheap and plasticky (no click when you rotated it).

I guess I'm stuck with digital watches indefinitely.

@RL_Dane Okay, maybe Swatch then, the mothercompany, think like VW to Audi, same inner parts but way lower price. I have a couple of them and can vouch for their reliability, just don't get a "moonswatch", those are expensive and sh**...

@JoeRess This isn’t really a new thing, I mean people have been scammed into pyramid schemes for ages, politicians have always lied and there always those who stood in awe of how one could be tricked like that 🤷🏼‍♂️

@Anachron @thewk Didn‘t know about it, but can’t find it on f-droid or playstore. Have you got a link? My main issue is, that none of the firefox versions I have tried so far allow multiple windows on android

@Anachron Yes, exactly. I don't need it that often and for almost every other use case firefox on android has been a way better experience than safari has been. But for split screen use the rdp to my vm solves the issue nicely.

I did try firefox beta and firefox forks, sadly none supported it.
Vivaldi did work, but chromium browsers don't do addons on android...

@Anachron yes it works, and it sometimes matters, I had hoped that on android (tablets) I could use firefox just like on the desktop, aka opening links in new windows or moving tabs to new windows or going to picture in picture without losing the ability to use my browser. Having to use two different browsers is just more of a hassle

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect webcam through 2 remotedesktop sessions on windows? So local cam to machine one that can run my vpn, connect from that machine to machine at work where I need to access my webcam and mic?

I have to add something to this post, turns out, that #vivaldi has an integrated ad-blocker on android and that it also allows to force dark mode on websites like dark reader does. Only thing missing is to auto switch between normal and dark mode depending on system settings. But it might be a contender for my default mobile browser, should I end up switching to android
