I reckon that the root of at least half the arguments about the best future for cleaner energy/transport is that if you give a turbine engineer a problem to solve, the solution is always going to be a better turbine (insert topic/expertise of choice). The silos are still too strong, and we need a common framework to assess big societal benefits (particularly in the three critical currencies: energy, carbon, money), and help for people to move into different areas of expertise.

Some of the answers to solving transport issues are simple. Cut out unnecessary travelling to work,people working closer to home, Cheaper public transport.
Unfortunately the underlying greed of most either financially, spending wise or morally (as in "we have the right to move freely around" ) means people just won't stop travelling anytime soon.

Someone trying to tempt me back to Twitter with this screenshot, saying “come on, won’t it be fun to respond to this?” Their idea of fun may differ from mine.

Lots of people have made fun of my mental illness and openness about it, most often on Twitter. But I’m okay. So far I haven’t looked at one of them and said “wow they seem really happy and successful, I wish I had their life.”
