No real traditions here. I'm not a big fan of holidays in general.

@travis I enjoy that this post calls out the user's laziness, but it's also about exclusivity, which iPhone users enjoy. It makes them feel special. Remember the bellyaching when Instagram was opened up to Android users?

So my daughter has a habit of wrapping her retainer up in a napkin when she's eating. Today she left it wrapped up in a napkin on the counter long after she finished eating lunch and it got thrown away and the trash got taken out. So tomorrow I'll be calling the orthodontist to buy a replacement.

What have you all got going on this weekend?

I'm taking the kids to holiday British bingo tonight at the ciderworks. My wife will be at ladies craft night. Tomorrow we're taking the kids to buy Christmas gifts for their friends and each other.

@jcrabapple Tonight the family and I are heading to a brewery opening in Frederick, then gonna check out the boats.

Saturday is Stout Fest at Crooked Crab, the kid has a school dance, and we have an ugly sweater party to attend.

Sunday we're headed to National Harbor for the Titanic the Exhibition. Maybe the Christmas Village in the Baltimore Inner Harbor after that, depending on the weather.

Rearranged my home office this morning so I could use my standing desk again. I've been dealing with some back pain in the recent months when I stand too long, and I know it's mainly been since I've been unable to use my standing desk (new desktop computer, cords too short), and the dog passed away (no daily long walks). Now I just need to set myself some standing reminders.

@Shoesmithlc It's a Wireguard mesh VPN service similar to Tailscale and Zerotier and Netmaker. Just doing RDP over mesh VPN and phasing out TeamViewer.

Testing and rollout of a corporate EDR is a lot of work. It was exhausting in 2020 when we implemented BitDefender, and it's exhausting now testing CrowdStrike Falcon.
