Made the world generation produce more smooth valleys and flatlands. I thought the flatness would be boring, but the contrast with rarer landforms actually makes everything more interesting.
I feel like a relatively unexplored genre is the "controls multiple characters with different skills". Instead of multiplayer or a single character that does all, we can switch around to use them in different situations. Trine might be the most well known? but there are many other interesting games around that.
