"Amazon Prime customers in the US now get free GrubHub+ delivery"

I try to order through the restaurant directly, using their preferred delivery mechanism.

I worry that GrubHub, DoorDash, etc., adds to the cost of food, cuts into the restaurant's take on an order.

This a fair take?

@davemark Not all restaurants now have dedicated delivery people, they outsourced this to grubhub, uber and others.
with these services i can now order from places which are much further away from my home. I just pay delivery fee + usual tips. so I'm in for these, but still rarely use.

Yesterday was a helluva wild ride.

Eye surgery was mildly terrifying, but went well.

Worst part: During the hour+ ride home, my eye COMPLETELY FOGGED OVER. I couldn't see a thing out of it.

Did I panic? Well, yes, yes I did. I called the surgery, they told me they'd ask the doctor, get back to me.

10 minutes later, got a call that that was normal, that it would clear. And it did.

But that was the longest 10 minutes of my life.

This week is about healing, then another procedure. Cheers! 😎

Incredibly often, it seems that Safari fails to load a website. It happens both on my Mac and iPhone and has been happening for a long time. I think this has to do with my WiFi, but I fail to see anything unusual in my Ubiquiti setup.

Anyone seeing similar issues with Safari, or is this some issue in my Internet setup?

(Yes, I've tried disabling all extensions)

@simonbs I’ve been having this issue without private relay enabled. At the time of freeze few apps are misbehaving: clock freezing, finder acts up, etc. it goes away in a few minutes. Thought it issue on my system due to conflict. But heard others had similar issues….

To me, a realistic minimum price for the 15“ M3 MacBook Air:

  • 16GB RAM
  • 1TB SSD

Lest you think this is hyperbole, try it yourself. Perfectly repeatable.

To me, adding basic contextual awareness to Siri is far more important than a ChatGPT-like front end.

@ivory why in many cases, especially on macOS cards won't load when timeline loads? if I click the post - it loads and then shows in the timeline.

Unpopular opinion: Apple Vision Pro is ugly. It looks stupid for $3500. You have to pay me to wear it publicly or in front of others. Even then, I would not do it. The wearable must look fabulous, and this one is not that cool.
