Ignoring deadline_final_final_v3, the “you need a Real ID" discourse has bugged the fuck out of me for like a decade. You don't need one and I don't want to go to the DMV. I have a passport and I'll just use that. California's only made me go to the DMV in person once in 12 years and I'm not about to fuck that up.
