Day 17: I've ran and played many games and many game sessions that were fun, as in smart, thrilling, hilarious, but right off the top of my head, I'd say the funniest game I have in mind is a very recent one I run: with . The Drama scenes were so witty and clever, wild and crazy, and I had to put my microphone on mute so many times as I was laughing so loudly! What a game! @pelgranepress @robindlaws @foundryvtt

I've just discovered that @pelgranepress, publisher of my two favourite systems, namely #DramaSystem and #Gumshoe, is preparing a new One-2-One game (one GM, one player) called #FirstEdition. This new #ttrpg will mix both systems, so try to figure out how excited I am now! Pelgrane Press, you were already the best, and now you've managed to become even bester! @robindlaws #Hillfolk #GumshoeOne2One #rpg #jdr

That joy I feel every time a game I love receives the recognition it righfully deserves! I'll schedule another game to celebrate then!

I think the thing missing most from modern DnD is art of heroes absolutely eating shit

Absolutely the funniest shit is the article 'List of cetaceans' putting [cetacean needed] for the ones they don't have a picture of.

I've finally managed to start GMing a game of using as a setting. Tonight we created the characters and we've already had such a blast! Besides, it's always a joy and honour to welcome newcomers to the hobby, people who got there with some DnD expectations about and who end up excited by a completely different approach. @robindlaws @pelgranepress @foundryvtt

I would like to take a moment and sing the praises of anthropomorphic settings in #ttrpg design.

Currently, I'm running two weekly games of Urban Jungle, and absolutely digging them both. Sanguine, the company that publishes Urban Jungle, published an Usagi Yojimbo game back in 2005 that remains one of my all-time favorite games.

My shelves, real or virtual, are littered with anthropomorphic games, and they all share this same super power.

P.S. In my game this past Sunday, I made the mob boss a crocodile and on the spot decided that all his goons were those birds that clean crocodile teeth.

I started describing all these birds in double-breasted, gangster suits, smoking cigarettes, playing cards, and cleaning Tommy guns.

Then we decided to google them.

Easily one of the top ten best off-the-cuff GMing decisions I've ever made.

I’m super excited that Swords of the Serpentine was nominated for 4 ENnie awards - best cover, best writing, best setting and best overall product! Congratulations to the whole team who worked on the game!

And I’m blown away a setting based on sinking buildings, small gods, capitalism, and 15th century Venetian cookbooks is up for an award! So Amazing!
