It's funny because when the Ukrainians use AMX-10RC light tanks/armed reconnaissance vehicles for frontal assaults on fortified Russian positions the result is absolutely attributable to French equipment being crap, but when the Abrams MBT (Main Battle Tank)/ATD (Armoured Tracked Diva) fails in what is essentially its intended role suddenly the Ukrainians are incompetent.

sur instagram je reçois une demande de suivi du petit copain de ma Grande Nuisance. Pourquoi, comment, dois-je demander à le suivre, que veut-il, est-ce une erreur, dois-je accepter, que se passe-t-il si je refuse, pourquoi on a inventé internet ???

Je demande assistance. Quelle est la procédure en pareil cas.

I am seeing a tweet going around, saying something like

"If the government can suspend your rights whenever it thinks there is an emergency you do not have rights, you have mere permissions."

It sounds convincing, and it can even often be true; but also a government that cannot take radical action in times of existential crises is not a government, it is a suicide pact (Covid anybody?).

Be wary of simplistic slogans that feel good, you might get what you asked for.

Mais pourquoi tant d'oubli pour la population voisine ?
Je vais être aussi franc : cela tient à l'imaginaire politique des manifestants et de la nature des belligérants qui se font face.
Les manifs pro ukraine ce sont des ukrainiennes et des pro Europe convaincus, basta. Les manifs pro démocrates syriens : 12 pelés trois tondus sous la pluie.

    Hot take: taken as an ultimate goal rather than as a mean to an end, "neutrality" becomes to Wikipedia what "merit" is to meritocracy or "utility" is to utilitarianism.

    (i.e. an ill-defined, tautological notion that superficially looks like a sound foundation to a logical edifice, but is actually easy to redefine at will, an invitation to recycling old preconceptions, and a tool to restore the injustices of bygone eras).

    Bon par contre, j'aimerais vraiment que les gens arrêtent de dire "IA" pour parler de l'huile de serpent à base de LLMs, est-ce que je dis "crypto" pour parler de Bitcoins et NFTs moi hein non bon alors.

    Bah c'est un terme marketting pour populariser les cryptomonnaies et conforter l'idée que les bitcoins seraient sécurisés (en réalité c'est un paradis pour flics qui peuvent éplucher les transactions incriminantes) : je ne suis pas cryptologue mais si c'est moitié aussi énervant pour eux que "IA" l'est pour moi, ils doivent être hors d'eux.
