A long thin cardboard tube
Several cuts (a bit over halfway) in the cardboard tube, spaced 1cm apart.
Inserted spacers and hot melt glue in the cuts to create a bend in the cardboard tube

The result is better than I had hoped

Bent white cardboard tube has tape strips and is being sprayed with red paint
A huge white and red drinking straw
Final cleanups with white paint, to fix the spots where red paint should not have come

I wonder who thought this was a usable, inclusive web design.
Even with relatively good eyesight I can't read yellow on bright green - and that's when I can try to read it because the annoying automatic popups hoover over the content all the time.

Ik mis waarschijnlijk iets, maar op een containerpark van Ivago geef je (bij het betalende deel) aan de ingang in wat je gaat dumpen (vb gratis tot 500kg), en dan heb je toegang tot alle containers (ook $$$ per kg). Geen ticket of marker welke categorie je koos. Misschien dat iemand rond loopt met een lijst van nummerplaten?

I have an update on this accident: the teacher is still recovering and might not be ready even to return next year.

Meanwhile it turned out that one of the commercial TV reality series about emergency services filmed the aftermath of the accident.

Only viewable in Belgium I think, and you need an account.

It's VTM Go 'Helden van hier: De MUG' season 5 episode 6, the very first intervention. She replies 'ballet teacher' when first responders ask her profession.

Tonight she also told a fun thing:

The 'Royal' in the school name means the queen sometimes pops in to visit, with a 1 hour advance notice.
When the notice arrives a whole plan comes into action to clean and tidy the building 😂

That didn't happen yet this year but for some odd reason it got mentioned this week so maybe somebody has a more advance notice? 👑
