My dad got an insulin monitor, and although it was terrible at first because it went off all the time, he has since modified his routine and the alarm has mostly stopped.

Even better, he no longer has the incredibly scary low blood sugar episodes.

Highly recommended.

Awesome. Great he is able to keep up a routine and manage diabetes better.

My wife just had to add insulin to her routine. She was on orals and daily and weekly shot.

She's getting continuous glucose monitoring as soon as the insurance oks it. It's ordered.

She's been on regular insulin for a just over a month and already her numbers are better, and getting rid of the once weekly shot has all but cured her gastroparesis that she's suffered for many, many years.

What is Walmart doing with their in-store security video regarding AI?

I know they were in a program where it was being used for certain things, like detecting known shoplifters, missing children, etc., at least their entry cameras were.

Are they linking checkout data to facial images?

Are they selling it for commercial gain?

It looks like not even being on at all will work, either. Looks like having people not take images of you offline so they can't be posted and never mentioning you would be the only way.

I've never had IG and haven't had a Meta account since 2013.

People like me should have a right to stop this because we can't control what others do.

    What is a Tornadic Vortex Signature (#TVS) as depicted as a red triangle in my radar images⬆️

    A TVS is a signature, or indication, of a potential #tornado. It is basically an indication of strong wind shear (or changing wind direction) in a very small area associated with potential tornadic circulation within a thunderstorm. A TVS is no guarantee a tornado will form, but definitely a strong indication that one may soon develop, or already has.

    I'm in the Ohio River Valley, East of Cincinnati, and wanted to see where the storms were because I was going to rest a while. When I loaded up the radar a little while ago, it was full of vortexes all over Texas, OK, etc. This is a wicked storm. I hope it peters out by the time it gets to us.

    A couple of the groups I followed on Reddit moved to various Lemmy servers & some kbin

    Some are in a.gup.pe group accounts https://a.gup.pe/

    You might want to search on Mastodon for like the title or keyword of reddit forum & look under profiles to see if anything pops up that might interest you with Lemmy, kbin or a.gup.pe domains & then visit the original profile or follow and take a chance

    People have strong opinions about Lemmy, just so you know, even ML unrelated instances
