These are based on the low poly spinny blob cat by @nure500 .

The git includes instructions on how he created them using a mostly manual pipeline to facilitate making more of them if you want to see another group represented (assuming you're willing to fiddle around in Blender).

Unfortunately, no license information is linked in the repo. Perhaps @renere can help with that?

It's okay to be rusty and out of practice. The point of fun little side projects is to get the rust off.

It doesn't have to be a perfect result that's completely efficient, expertly architected, modular, extensible, and all that. It just needs to make silly pictures of kitties.

Since #Pride month is coming up, I wanted to share some #emoji you might want to add to your instance.

@moiety created a set of sets called QueerCats.

They created 16 pride designs in each of 6 different subsets: fire, flag, heart, comfy cat under a pride blanket, blobcat recolored, and blobcat holding a heart.

They are released as both SVG and PNG under a CC0 license.

While there isn't a zip of them with an emoji.json file, you'll probably have to import them by hand. Alternatively, possum.city seems to have a bunch of them already if you can import from there.

@moiety also created a set based on Gaysper which was reappropriated from the Spanish Vox party after they tried to use it as a hate symbol. It was originally the Android 5.0 emoji for ghost before being given rainbow colors.

The first company that goes "oops all muscle mommies" with their #gacha #waifu s is going to get embarrassingly rich.

I'm picturing a side to side beat 'em up game like Final Fight, Streets of Rage, or River City Girls but the plot is about trying to maintain order in a crumbling post apocalyptic city. The waifus are from different gangs vying for power. Go over the top weird with them ASAP. The cardinal rule of character design is that every one of these women can beat you up. The high school malcontent with a baseball bat, the telekinetic one with pigtails, the werewolf, the lady cop, the gyaru with a chainsaw, and the yoga mom. They can all kick your ass.

  • Goku-esque woman who just loves fighting the strongest opponent

  • Strict kendo teacher

  • Mommy who just wants to protect you

  • Secret agent who loves her country

  • Feral catgirl who fights because she wants their tuna

  • Ditz who casually wields so much power they accidentally beat people up

  • Robo assassin who is programmed to kill

  • Vengeful poltergeist who possesses furniture

  • Gamer chick who gets really competitive about it

The list can go on forever. You just need to come up with 9-ish attack animations when a new one comes out.

I'm going to have to index new servers to find #neomoji in foreign languages. There are a few emoji, mostly on possum.city and mk.absturztau.be, that use non-English names but they aren't even emoji in the traditional sense, it's stuff like a 3 part chocolate croissant.

I ran across the first server to use non-English emoji names (I think it's Russian based on the .ru). Can anyone provide translations for

Cat, fox, possum, dragon, bread, robot, tiger, meow, devil, halo, blob, sign, flag, pride, kiss, floof, woozy, uwu, Yassie, and skibidi

in

French, German, Polish, Russian, Dutch, Czech, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, or any other language you know

It probably won't yield any new but I can't really check without help from people who know other languages.
