As a linguist I have to say how I personally fight this. I know that many words can have different conotations for different people. But I also know that words are encoded by sender and decoded by a receiver. So, if sender and receiver understand their coding, there is no fear certain word can be taken over. So, watch who is a coding and then decode appropriately.

I really want more organization and structure to my life and I haven't found any methods that seem to work for me. I want to write more but get so utterly distracted by a million other things the second I see a screen that I end up just reading or researching some random topic instead of writing about things that I already know

@liaizon what usually works for me is to get a simple notebook and every evening write a short list of things I want or need to do. And then every evening, I do the review to see what I did or didn't do. And then rinse and repeat.

It helps me remember what I want to do and it helps me stay on track and get towards the things I love and want to do 💙💚💛

@liaizon i see. One friend once showed me a chart that helps with that too. Hehe.

You basically split tasks into 4 groups based on how important are they for you vs someone else (example: go to the dentist vs drive a friend to the airport) and then based on how urgent are they (dentist tomorrow or buying a new couch eventually)

Then you get

Urgent and important to me
Urgent and important to others
Not urgent and important to me
Not urgent and important to others

Wow, they (the EU commission) is creating standards for a wallet. So, why would you make sure there is interoperability between existing solutions and support for existing builders. Visiting family and friends from Slovenia trows me in such a parallel reality.

While I have been moving towards minimalism, most of them have been pilling things. They have all the 'stuff' I've been running away from. Motorbikes, sups, old timer cars and motorbikes, stuff stuff stuff...

It looks like a verys cosy life, having all the stuff, but there's so much extra work and costs with maintaining and storing things. And seeing all the stuff just reminds me of how much I love minimalism...

The only thing that i miss is that we don't have the lending economy developed to the max yet. Where you could go and any time borrow anything you want. Literally anything.

Then people would probably buy and pile way less stuff and just enjoy the variety for a day, week, year and then replace it for something else...

@aral I agree and I've seen it from the inside working with once shitchain for a while - web3 is Sillicon Valley.

What I still wonder is, who is behind Bitcoin and if that's in any way different?

I love the idea of disrupting monetary system, because this money printing and all the bureaucrats and bank feeding themselves through this money printer, is a disguisting image to watch.

I just wonder if Bitcoin is same shit, just different branding or if there is anything there.

Thoughts?

@aral Yeah, agree. The shit is that the planet is not burning because of Bitcoin, but because of all the shitty big corps that have been treating our nature and resources like the last piece of shit. I just want to crack them down. Sick of them all, to be honest!

ok. so. we are about to finalize this new "high level" api for stream relay protocol. It's pretty simple. it makes it so you really don't need to understand udp, packets, or any of the other things the protocol cares about. hash-prefixed event names are "special" internal events.

@heapwolf @thisismissem this is interesting. Would be grwat to read in details how each step of this works underneath. How are peers actually connecting to each other (i think you said once you don't use dht). Then what is the role of these known subspaces (sorry, i used subnets before, somehow it seemed more logical - networks and then subnetworks:). Then how do peers connect and start receiving messages (is it all sent between known peers or do you have shared secrets with everyone)...
