@jimmylittle Exactly. And you can pin widgets, so that’s in many ways the best solution.

And then Control Center is more intentional/less accidental, and the Crown has dual purpose.

They might make some tweaks to the design but it does flow naturally better overall than the old OS ways – but maybe having custom controls could help

silly question but is there a shortcuts setting I am missing that causes the large dynamic island UI to appear here instead of only showing the small one? It bothers me how it obstructs the shortcut UI every time it’s launched.

@gn Is this on the beta? Regardless this is likely just a conflict they didn’t specifically design for – I’m assuming your flow starts with an Ask For Input action?

@gn What’s happening is the current intended behavior, but I mean in a large sense the Dynamic Island UI isn’t specifically tuned for a Shortcuts input dialog to immediately appear behind it – they’d have to specially design this collision, and from what I’ve seen historically these Shortcuts-specific design problems are very often not considered/discovered/reported/prioritized inside Apple.

I was incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to try Vision Pro this week. The experience was overwhelming in the best possible way. I'm still collecting my thoughts for a longer Design Diary post, but it was so transformative that I'm finding it hard to put the experience into words.

As I work on that, I wanted to ask for any questions folks had with regards to using it and more generally for the platform from a developer/designer perspective. I'll do my best to answer to them.

@mrcippy @ChrisLawley It’s only in Private Browsing, this headline is leaving out the pertinent detail.

It mostly means previously in Private mode you could still be tracked after clicking affiliate links, now that’s not possible

Trying out #watchOS10 and I’m not convinced wasting the entire side button on Control Center is a good idea.

It’s a major usability regression over launching the Dock, at least in my use cases.

I was a heavy Dock user, keeping my 8 most used apps there, one tap away. Now, I don’t see a way yet to keep a quick-launch set of apps handy…

Using AppIntentConfiguration and AppIntentTimelineProvider for configuring widgets is SO GOOD! We get to remove that pesky Intents extension and do with the Widgets extension 😍 #WWDC

Conspiracy theory time but I think Hello Games ruined Apple’s surprise, was cut out of the keynote/launch, and is now on Steam/the headset as a third-party only and is riding the wave of attention by launching today on Mac anyway.
