Obsesses over bikes (MTB, Trials, Dirt Jumpers) Apparently I get hurt too much doing dumb (yet fun!) things on bicycles for a kid in his mid 40's. Before bikes I obsessed over racing cars and go-karts on the track for 10 years.

Took my kids to Six Flags on Monday (spring break for the kids) and love the first person perspective from the rayban meta sunglasses.

@caseyliss Does the app still spoil races if you don't watch live? That's the main reason I don't subscribe. I remember subscribing the first year and I couldn’t ever open the app without the races getting spoiled. It was the dumbest thing ever.

@JeroenSchaper it’s not intentional. Probably a bug. 😅 will have to look into what’s causing that. Seems like the long hold on the post is activating and then getting cancelled out.

It's the year 2024. AI can generate convincing videos. I can watch movies in a headset that rival the experience of going to a movie theater. Cars are becoming more proficient at driving themselves. Phone screens can fold in half…

…yet I still get at least 10-15 spam calls a day and there's not much that can be done about it. Tech companies are solving the wrong problems. 😩

Anyone know why SVG's exported from Sketch (@Sketch) will not import back into SF Symbols? Even without editing the template files. I exported an icon template file from SF symbols, opened in Sketch, immediately exported as an SVG and get this error when I try to import into SF Symbols. Am I doing something wrong or is Sketch losing all the necessary metadata for import?

I went to the Dallas Auto show over the weekend (it was pretty terrible, but I really wanted to see the new Landcruiser, GX, and EV9 in person). Ford had a promo where i'll get a free $50 visa gift card if I sign up then go to a local Ford dealership and test drive something. I signed up, but having a hard time motivating myself to go. I like Ford, but nothing they'd let me test drive seems interesting. I'd like to drive a Bronco/F150 Raptor or Dark Horse Mustang, but that won't happen. 😅

Went to a local Ford dealership with my wife to test drive something so I can get the $50 gift card through this program and the sales guy spent 10 minutes getting my info and trying to see if I'm willing to buy something today. 🤦‍♂️ I told him I don't want to waste his time and that we are just here to test drive through the Ford Auto Show promotion. Then he gets a phone call and spends 10 minutes trying to make a sale right in front of us, before we just stand up and walk out. 🤷‍♂️

@gedeonm that doesn’t make sense. We haven’t seen a single one since it’s been turned on. Obviously push notifications won’t be filtered, but I just turned the mentions push notifications off for now.

@gedeonm I turned the filter off and reset the cache on my account to check and it’s catching 76 spam mentions and a lot of them look just like the ones you posted. Maybe you turned it on for one account, but not another?

Question for my Blender homies, I import a canoe, export it as a USD file, but when I try to use that on Apple platforms/RealityKit, it loads without any textures, even though it has them in the Finder preview. Why?

@christianselig I use Apple's Reality Converter app to add the textures back on. I don't have an answer to why I have to go through that process.

Went to the zoo over the weekend with my family. I always take my camera. This will be a short thread with some of my favorites. I had to focus manually on a lot of the shots because I was shooting through a fence or net. So I wasn't able to get great shots of the cub because he was running around too much. 😅
