Bei Qobuz kann man ganze Alben nun offenbar nur noch mit einer extra Software heruntergeladen. Das ging bis vor kurzem noch als einfaches tar.gz file oder Zip.
Natürlich wird keine Version für Linux angeboten. 🙃

Edit: Wollte gerade dem Support schreiben. Supportseite verweist auf ein Menü, das auf der Website nicht existiert. 😩
@thomas neulich konnte ich die Songs noch einzeln runterladen, umständlich, aber ging. Hat mich trotzdem genervt das sie jetzt diese Software enforcen wollen
@hackbyte@dozykraut No, or at least not in the way anti-systemd people try to frame it, there is no vulnerability in systemd and from what I read the backdoor will also work if liblzma ist linked to sshd in any other way (e.g. through some other dependency)
@FrankM@pasci_lei ist halt noch nicht ganz klar ob eventuell auch schon in älteren Versionen Backdoors sind und/oder die selbe Person/Organisation vielleicht noch in anderer Software ähnliche Dinge gemacht hat
Today #xz has once again proven that security is a multi-layer effort. Only hardening the outer limits/boundaries of a system is NEVER sufficient. People and companies now rushing to have xz downgraded, should (and with should I mean MUST) learn about Defence in Depth. Even people in the middle ages knew about that!
@rarepublic although it's still unclear if this backdoor only targets sshd, so maybe other services are also vulnerable, but you can't run everything inside a VPN (at least not if you not just use the software only for yourself)
@oz from what I can tell it's still not clear if the attack is targeted only at this patched sshd or if it also targets other software linking to liblzma
In der #FDroid Version von #Telegram FOSS kann man seine Telefonnummer nicht mehr ändern, wenn man mal die SIM wechselt. Der Anruf/Bestätigungs-SMS kommt einfach nicht. Man ist dann gezwungen die Version aus dem Play Store zu benutzen.
@sadmin@meldrian Telegram FOSS war nie wirklich offiziell, sie haben nur geduldet das es im Vergleich zu anderen Third Party Clients das offizielle Branding nutzt weil es nicht wirklich viel modifiziert hat...
Now I switched completely from f-droid to f-droid basic app.
Main reason is the better version of gadgets bridge. With this version it is allowed to run in background and so I can use my mi band again for notifications and alarms.
Another: All other apps can be maintained by the basic version too. So why should I have installed two f-droid store apps?
@di0v0n there shouldn't be a difference between the APK you download with F-Droid or with F-Droid basic. So interesting that it does actually seem to make a difference. Are you sure that this is actually the reason why Gadget Bridge works again?
Fügt dem F-Droid-Store über die Optionen die Paktquelle "https://fdroid.pixelfed.net/" hinzu, dann steht die App zur Verfügung bzw. taucht in der Liste installierter Apps auf.
@kaychristianheine aber man bedenke dabei: die App bleibt trotzdem weiterhin nicht Open Source und solche drittrepos unterliegen nicht den Regeln des Hauptrepos...
@iak@kuketzblog@IzzyOnDroid@fdroidorg hm bei "Self Updater" müsste F-Droid aber auch mindestens "nur manuell" bekommen, weil das checken wird schon bei der Erstaufnahme mindestens und es sind Apps deshalb auch schon wieder rausgeflogen
@setiathome@kuketzblog@IzzyOnDroid das sind eigentlich mehr oder weniger alles bekannte Sachen, bräuchte meiner Auffassung nach vor allem mehr Manpower für die fdroidserver Entwicklung um mehr von den automatischen Checks zu implementieren...
