What’s y’all’s favorite daily use sunscreen? The more it feels like lotion, and the less it feels like sunscreen, the better.

@rmondello I use this CeraVe oil free moisturizer that’s SPF 35 for my face, ears, and neck. I’ll often use a spray from Hawaiian Tropic (“weightless” or “everyday active”) or Neutrogena (“Ultrasheer”) for my body, but the CeraVe is way better from the neck up.

I’m rewatching the finale, and I just noticed that the warp effect is closer to classic TNG streaks than the warp tunnel beams. I don’t know why I pay attention to warp speed effects like this. It doesn’t really matter. They go A to B. Plot stuff. No one cares

    [I just enjoyed reading Have you considered using a camera? by Joe Rosensteel over at Six Colors. It says many smart things about photography with a phone as opposed to a real “camera”. Also, it's funny; recommend it. But then down toward the end it made an assertion that was so shocking that I had to stop and read it twice, then again: That shooting with a phone is easier and faster than with a camera. Because I believe the opposite is true.

    @timbray Thanks for the kind words, Tim! The article’s really aimed at people who have not been using their cameras much, so naturally a hobbyist or professional photographer with a camera grip in hand is fast, but the people I was talking to don’t have their camera grip anywhere near their hands. Cameras are easy to quickly control for people using cameras already. People holding up a smartphone don’t think about the exposure triangle, they tap a person’s face, if that, and they’re done.

    “Hey Siri, play the album ‘Tulips’ everywhere.”
    (Apple TV turns on starts playing a YouTube video I watched two days ago. Not even the last YouTube video I watched, somehow?)
    “Hey Siri, play the album ‘Tulips’ in Apple Music, everywhere.”
    (3 seconds of music out of the Apple TV then it stops and starts playing music out of the iPhone speaker. iPhone shows nothing is playing. Tap on the play button for the album in Apple Music and I get an error it’s playing somewhere else. It isn’t.)

    As I wrote that the screen on the Apple TV changed to the album art and it started playing on the Apple TV again one minute after all this shit.
