Getting pretty glum about 1Password 7 being EOLed and them breaking the browser extension on purpose. I do not want to sync my vault to their storage or use their new slow bad app. What’s your favorite #1Password replacement?

❓Did Instagram change their color temperature and exposure handling lately? Any previously edited photo uploaded to Instagram looks totally blasted out after posting. Photos that look ok in drafts get big color shifts and exposure changes after.
It’s been this way for a couple weeks. It’s annoying that a photo app can’t do WYSIWYG editing reliably.
Is it just me? Makes me never want to post to Instagram again.

I found myself agreeing a lot with this Chinese Cooking Demystified video. The southern Chinese (especially tribal) foods near the border with Southeast Asia has a lot more in common with Lao or northern Thai food than with say, Shandong food (which in turn more closely resembles Korean food). The idea of nation states falls flat in the culinary sense.
@skinnylatte we had some ramen in Tokyo at a place that specializes in "Chinese-style" ramen. The similarity to our favorite Singapore wonton noodle place was striking.
Just finished a #cycling trip through Central and … whew. #Singapore Central is not ready for safe cycling. Paths end abruptly onto high-traffic areas, terrible signage. Further out is much better.
@kevindreher Took me like a year to get brave enough to ride here - I think the spandex guys may be the only folks who love speed enough to put their lives on the line.
And don’t get me started on the car vigilantes constantly posting about how cyclists shouldn’t be on the road. Mothership loves a post about a cyclist in the right lane but never about a driver who doesn’t know how to pass.

The fact that the main SF library is walking distance from my home is such a huge life upgrade. Almost any book, dvd, CD, even vinyl record I’d like? Put it in my library cart. Check out and hold. I collect them on my way back from work (or to / from the train, or from the farmers market which is kinda all the same thing). It has such a vast collection. I just borrowed a ‘Kodak Basic Developing, Printing, Enlarging in Color’ from 1977. Didn’t even need eBay
@skinnylatte SFPL is so good. My mom got a card from them when she was visiting me and used it for years because their ebook collection blows all her local options away.
