Decent E2EE should be mandatory, rather than optional, effectively mitigating MitM attacks.

The German government compelled (forced) Hetzner and Linode to partake in MitM'ing.

There are some ideas on how to 'mitigate' this - but ideally it shouldn't need mitigating.

E2EE or GTFO!

(and let's be totally clear: Telegram is not, was not and will never be decent E2EE - Telegram is a complete and utter clusterfuck)

Thank you so much for sharing this. I personally feel the same. From the first moment onwards, the Fediverse feels humane - whereas the silos of BS and Birdsite don't - at all.

The Fediverse isn't without some challenges - but it does make me feel at home. Warm, true interactions and lovely discussions.

Die worden helaas al jaren gestuurd. Wel met vlagen - de eerste van deze neppe firma heb ik vier jaar geleden gezien (even terug gezocht). Eén enkele keer zelfs een soortgelijk iets met de post gehad.

Ik denk dat het voor hostingfirma's uiterst belangrijk is om te communiceren dat zij de enige partij zijn die factureren. En bij twijfel: eerst navragen!
