    @chockenberry Every demo seemed highly staged. I suspect the device is a early alpha and is basically a minimally viable product. I will admit that I am not a hardware focused engineer so maybe it is all possible, but I am pretty skeptical. It will be interesting to see how it develops and if it ever makes it to market.

    Ok, I’m fairly unhappy with whoever recommended Forbidden West as a game to try. I sat down after I got back from walking the dog and started to play. I was playing for maybe 25 minutes having a great time and I looked at my watch and saw that over 4 hours had elapsed. It is NOT ok for these game creators to distort space time like that. I may try to get my money back.

    kids have it too easy these days. computers are light, fast and there's amazing apps like Arc browser.

    Between this and the ongoing changes on Twitter, and upcoming changes on Reddit, I hope it's becoming ever more clear that we can't rely on profit-driven corporations when it comes to maintaining our public commons.

    @johnvoorhees As a test I have 36 TestFlight Betas across all iOS and MacOS. I’ve never had any issues and they auto update pretty quickly once a build is released. I am not a Developer so I cannot comment on that aspect of TestFlight. Let me know if you need more details.

    @johnvoorhees The app loads fast and I have never had it crash on me except in the very early days before it was purchased by Apple. Auto updates work 98% of the time, there have been some rare cases when I knew an update was out but the app on my device had not updated so I had to manually update. The actual list of apps always just instantly populates so I have no concerns there. :)

    Everyone's excited (and terrified, rightly so) of ChatGPT, LLM and text-to-image and text-to-video.

    The thing is, AI is even bigger than that. That's what I'm covering tomorrow.

    I need a reminders app that blows up my phone until I respond. Shakes, vibrates, pings, screams, rings-something obnoxious. Puts an overlay on my screen w/the reminder message in GIANT TEXT. Turns off the internet in my home. Kills all my open apps & launches the reminder instead!
