Well, I’m rotating back to #logseq from #obsidian. The dropoff in my note-taking was extreme. I pretty much stopped taking notes, because the obsidian format wasn’t conducive to my writing style.

Also worth noting I have the same issue with Obsidian I do with #KDE: option paralysis. There’s simply too much to configure, too many things to tweak.

YMMV of course. I’m only speaking for myself.

@yakkoj I think things like that have become kind of a winking joke by now. I mean, the people who have lived here for more than a few years know how to handle storms, and any gunfire would be entirely ironic (I can't speak for imports -- I've probably been here too long to count by FL standards and I didn't fire guns at storms when I was).

What a weird headline. #Ukraine is currently defending against a #Russian war of aggression. Ukraine has no moral obligation to confine its defense to its own borders (aside from this being apparently the work of Russian partisans). Why does CNN make it sound like Ukraine has done something wrong? I mean, #Russia has leveled entire CITIES in Ukraine over the last 14 months.

@fossesq the preference won't change a stylesheet out from under an app; an app has to opt into it. GTK3 and Flatpak apps definitely can, like most elementary apps do.

VSCode and others could support it, and the work to enable it in Chromium should make it easier to support in Electron apps. Basically if an app supports it on Windows or macOS, it should be able to on FreeDesktop platforms using the spec.

@cassidy I figured out why dark mode switching wasn’t happening for me: something—and I have no idea what—created a ~/.config/gtk-4.0 directory containing a fragment of a css file. Given how fresh this installation is, I have no idea where it came from, but after deleting it all is normal.

@jcrabapple @cassidy nope, and I installed but have not opened Gradience. I can’t think of anything that would have created (poorly) that directory. It’s trivial for me to nuke and reset, so i may give that a go.

@travisfw it’s an AirPrint printer/scanner, and it prints wirelessly without any issues from pretty much everything.

I have no idea why I’m still surprised when things work in Linux. Broadly speaking that hasn’t been a thing for a while.
