The deadline for registration (which includes changes of nationality) is June 26th.

What's the name for those plastic bits that you screw in on top of a cable, when wiring a plug yourself?

I'm looking at building something where I want to tie down a cable, and I would rather not 3D print those bits when I could buy them in bulk… but I don't know how to find them >_<

I am, once again, wondering why tricycles, in the sense of full grown adult sized cycles with two rear wheels (with or without cargo) are not normalised.

They somehow feel like they shouldn't need as much engineering as it's pushed on to build cargo bikes, and they would be something I wouldn't mind using myself, rather than risk my life due to being barely able to balance a bike.

(Nearly) done. The final tray is printed and looks good. Except I screwed up the internal measurement and the two trays of grad students don't fit.

Since the grad students are the cheaper thing to reprint, I'll do that. Alternatively I could also just put them back on the original plastic bag, it should work.

Let's try this! I have a new card game (Everyone Else Thinks This Game Is Awesome) and with the expansion, the cards don't fit in the box it comes with (surprise!)

I am sure, though, that I could replace the plastic separator inside with something that would allow me to fit all of the cards, as the volume is there, it just needs rearrangement.

I can 3D print, or I can go use the laser cutter at work next week. But I'd rather not reinvent it from scratch.

Listen, I don't want to give legitimacy to audiophiles but let me tell you I can definitely detect when my gaming PC decides to send a stereo stream rather than DTS or 7.1 even though the stream is meant to be just stereo.

I go to YouTube Music on my TV, play an album. First song plays fine.

Second song, YTM decides to instead play a video of the song because it matches the name. But that adds a trailing timeout for the video links.

Then it tries to do the same for the third song.

Seriously folks, is anyone even using this app?

Hrm, this microSD card is reading at ~260KB/s.

I guess it's a good thing that it's full, and I can just throw it into the "do not use again" pile.

(I'm going through all of the old SD cards to confirm that they are still readable, and that I didn't miss any pictures. For now I recovered some of my extremely old pictures I never imported into Lightroom to begin with.)

Somehow, Lennart managed to bury one of the most important steps forward for Linux (desktop, but not just) within a pile of conspiracies, hate, and fanboys.

I've got no idea how he managed that, and I'm feeling disappointed in myself for not succeeding in steering him in a different direction back then.
