I mean, I get the appeal of having “everything” at the touch of a button, but Artists are not getting paid anywhere near what they should. If Spotify is making billions in profits….and they literally create NOTHING then that’s wrong.

I think one of the most powerful changes we could make to content discovery on Mastodon is by showing hashtagged posts to everyone following that tag.

Right now, you only see tagged posts from your federated feed, which is (I think): posts and boosts from your follows, from anyone on your server, and from anyone followed by anyone on your server

If you’re on a big server then yes, that is a lot of posts, but it’s no way near all of them!

Community-building needs this.

Uh, I think hashtags show up from people you aren’t following. It really depends on how your instance is federated.

Like if your instance is not connected to a lot of relays or has blocked instances, then it will struggle to find hashtags.

But you can’t just require everyone to see a hashtag that is following it. Say on an instance that does hate speech….if they put their vile stuff out and hashtag it with mastodon….that would not be good.

So, federation actually matters here. If your instance decides it’s not following threads or other instances, then you won’t see any hashtags originating from there.

Sounds like you want to bypass that.

They work fine. I think they are a great value for the money. I’m generally using them JUST for playback though. I haven't really done any big recordings on them.

It amazes me that there are people that believe that if the Confederacy had won that they would have ended slavery on their own, when America is actively doing wage slavery, when there are still more People of Color in prison, when we are still dealing with the legacy of redlining. It feels like it never ended at all.

I’m really looking forward to getting this Nanuk case for my Pedal Board and EWI. It should maybe have enough room to put the 4000S and AE-20 in there.. Maybe. Perhaps even the AE30. It will be interesting to build it out.

Wish there was some sort of 3d box space designer. Where you could plan out putting objects in a box with padding…..seems like that should be a thing….
