I love Django, it's admin interface is downright amazing, and a feature that keeps me using Django, but ohboy, adding actions to a change view should be significantly easier!

I've read somewhere on the 'net that infrared film dies quickly and dies an ugly death. So I shot a roll of Kodak HIE expired in 2006 and can confirm the saying! 😐

Kodak HIE developed in FX39II 1+14 at 19°C.
Nikon FE with Tamron Adaptall-2 24mm F2.5 lens, IR720nm filter.
Plustek OpticFilm 8100 + VueScan, and a lot of dodging and burning to get somewhat presentable results.

I've seen an Instagram reel where a film photographer bragged about moving back to the 21st century, where "taking photos is free", with a digital Hasselblad camera.
Am I just too poor to understand how does buying a $8000 camera makes you take photos for free? 🤔

(I get the idea, you don't need to buy film, but for eight grand you get quite a lot of film, even today)

I've developed the last roll of Kodak Tri-X 320 film I had. I bought a 5-roll pack, a brick, in 220 format, sometime before the plagu..err, pandemic, and it took me a few years to go through all five rolls, but I finally did it.

I'm happy with the photos I got, but I no longer have any 220 film, and I really got to like it, especially in 6×7 cameras.

Back in September, I tested Praktica PLC2, a camera that's been sitting on a shelf for who-knows-how-long. Everything looked and sounded just fine, but the film turned out empty like no photos were ever taken.

There were a few explanations, the most plausible being the camera didn't catch and wind the film, and I concluded I'd have to test the camera again.

I've been thinking about the Ilford's announcement the next week, and I've realized I'd be happier with Kentmere films in APS format than with the return of Ilfocolor.
Sure, color negative film is nice but realistically, there's no way it would be under 8€ (in my local retail stores), and if it's over that, it'll fall in Two-Rolls-Per-Year category (and I'd rather shoot slide film, then!), and APS film would make all those small APS cameras usable again. 🤔

Remember that time, a month or so ago when I realized I'd just finished 100 ASA film but I shot it at 400?
I've developed that roll as suggested by @thereisnocat and it turned out just fine - except there are no photos on the film. 😅
Border markings are perfectly visible, and the leader is well exposed, but there are absolutely no traces of photos anywhere. I'll blame the camera, although it looks and sounds okay. 🤷‍♂️

My plans to visit friends on the seaside went askew, but that didn't stop me from actually getting to the seaside. Not as far, but still I've been to places I've never been before. Good that I decided to go yesterday, it's been raining today more or less constantly!

Apparently, there's a 25-year-old, tastefully modified Toyota Century on air suspension driving around Croatian northern regions. And it's being daily-driven! 🤩

Toyota Century is the luxurious pinnacle of Toyota's know-how, a car made for the Imperial House of Japan and top executives, it's an exclusively Japan-only model, so it's also a right-hand drive.
