all'opposizione della commissione.
As of yesterday, #Putin has sacrificed 500,000 #Russian people in his criminal war against #Ukraine.
A mass murderer not only of the people of Ukraine, but also of his own people
Viktor #Orbán’s #Hungary is holding up legislation that would enable #Ukraine to receive up to €2bn for weapons from the #EU, in a blow to efforts to mobilise profits from Russian assets frozen under sanctions.
“For the time being they are blocking everything connected to the military support to Ukraine,” said one of the people, suggesting #Budapest’s reservations would remain until at least next month’s European elections.
An attempted coup against the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo was put down. It’s too early to say if they’ll follow the American model of punishing some of the foot soldiers and leaving the organizers in place to try again.
As news agencies are hyping the news that “Putin wants negotiations on the current front line”, please note this not any news. Really - if you search the phrase “признать реалии на земле” (recognize the realities on the ground), you will see it goes well back into 2023 in Kremlin statements and repeated nearly every month since. This is the phrase that #Russia uses when they refer to negotiations where #Ukraine is expected to recognize Russia’s territorial conquests.
Please, do not blindly follow the media induced amnesia where any old news can be recycled into a “exclusive news” clickbait…
Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs warned that any unilateral attempt by Russia to alter Baltic Sea borders would provoke a reaction. This follows Russia's announcement of plans to redefine its maritime borders with Lithuania and Finland, claiming new internal waters in the Gulf of Finland and near key coastal areas. The proposed changes involve adjusting geographical coordinates in these regions.
@Edizionilazio@noelreports Then I think #Denmark and #Sweden shoud unilaterally change the extent of their internal waters in the Danish Straits.
And then close them to Russian ships and ships directed to #Russia.
The UN GA Resolution 181 called for the creation of two States: a Jewish State and an Arab State.
Following your assumption, if #Israel was formed by the UN declaration, then #Palestine was formed the same way: there was no unilateral decision by Palestine either.
In German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's SPD party, voices began to be heard for Western troops to take part in the defense against Russian airstrikes in Ukraine.
"In the current military situation, I consider it necessary and responsible to deploy German anti-aircraft missile forces on NATO territory on the border with Ukraine in order to protect the airspace over Western Ukraine - for example, with the help of Patriot systems," SPD defense expert Joe Weingarten said.
