@yourfutureex well I thought it is a bold statement to say that Black Sabbath is not metal (which it looked like to me) on a metalhead instance 😂

And Deep Purple released one of the first metal albums ever, but to call them a metal band... nah, they're not. Just like Zeppelin, although both had major influences of course. Just like Queen.

Of course you know all that, I just wanted to mansplain.

#DeathMetal and I, we have an "it is complicated" relationship.

There's a 95% chance that I like the riffs.
But there's only a 50% chance that I like the vocal style (looking at you Bolt Thrower).

Now the new Gatecreeper, that is something I can enjoy in full 🤘

@jxrxme true that! I actually had to look it up on metal archives because I didn't know what genre this is. It almost sounded like atmospheric black metal sometimes.

Mein 4jähriger hat mir heute Vormittag stolz sein aufgepimptes Bobby Car präsentiert.

Mein Sohn ist spricht ja Ungarisch und Deutsch, und er übernimmt vieles aus dem Ungarischen, was es im Deutschen nicht so gibt.

Z.B. wenn etwas mit Schnee bedeckt ist, dann ist es "schneeig" 😂

I don't know Sonata Arctica and I didn't know about their existence until @Dad_Wood tooted about them.

Judging from the name and the artwork I expected Nightwish style melodic/symphonic metal from Finland 🇫🇮

Turns out the latter was correct, and for the other stuff?

I like where they are heading. There are still a lot of cheesy songs, but with all the proggy elements I like this album better than the first 3 on my #Metaljourney

Other than that, #Unia is my favourite Sonata Arctica album so far. There is not much left of their power metal roots, except some keyboards and chimes. And the cheesy stuff.
