Lamborghini has realized that the 0–60 war is over, and AWD electrics won.

Having said that, I literally do not care about 0–60 times. I hardly ever launch my cars. In fact I experience my cars almost entirely in every way except launching them.

We’ve reached the end point of launch times. What’s next? Sub-one second? Are people really seeking 3+ gs of forward acceleration? How much until it becomes too painful to endure for 80% of your buyers?

The joy of driving lies elsewhere. 0–60 times are irrelevant, because that problem is now essentially solved.

@drahardja Now what would be interesting is EV racing where drivers can make a pit stop to charge their batteries (no swapping allowed) and see how quickly that aspect of EVs can improve in competitions. It may not be as exciting to watch as a drag race, but I could see the battery status of each car being displayed while in motion and recharging which may have some level of suspense. We know higher top speed burns down the battery level faster, so some efficiencies may help with reducing time recharging.

One tip for using ChatGPT that I am going to start using is to save prompts as a starting point so that I can always set the expectations for the rest of the thread. One way I use it is with shell scripting. I can give it all of my code style preferences and general code standards with a saved prompt which will save time when I start a new thread. #ChatGPT #LLM

For 8 months Palestians have been forced out of their cities which have now been bombed and 80% of buildings have been destroyed. A couple nights ago 8 precision guided bombs hit this area where people were sleeping and many were killed and many others were badly injured and burned. Most were children. The bombs were supplied by the US, UK and other countries. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Israel to pull out of Rafah after finding credible evidence that Israel has engaged in genocide. And now many are asking countries to stop supplying these offensive weapons because they have been used repeatedly to attack journalists, aid workers, doctors and civilians. Look up what happened to World Central Kitchen recently for more context. #Gaza #Rafah

Atlas was a terrible movie, but if the producers rembraced it then it could have become a cult classic. Replace Sterling K. Brown with Shaq and Simu Liu with Bobby Lee. I love Shaq and Bobby Lee. Then it would be wildly entertaining. A fight between Shaq in that mech suit and Bobby Lee as an android would be so fun to watch. Also, kill off JLo in the first 5 minutes like Steven Seagull was in Executive Decision in 1996. At that point people were sick of him and seeing him fall to his death was so satisfying. #Atlas

The IDF bombed a safe zone in Rafah after the ICJ ordered Israel to stop attacks and pull out. Many children have been killed. There have been many photos and videos coming out after the attack. This safe zone is a camp of makeshift tents which caught fire from the bombs as people were sleeping. Many could not escape and burned badly.

When will it will be enough before the US and UK stop sending more bombs and demand Netanyahu to stop.

This violence has to end.

Optimized my implementation for and on my local machine (macbookpro m1), lowered the time from ~24secs to ~14secs.

why is my implementation faster than the one?

@msf I drafted my rough first attempt a few weeks back but did not jump back into it until just now. I tried to recreate the fastest Java implementation in Swift while leveraging some unique language features. Currently generating the 1br file. I only created smaller files while I was hacking on it before. Are you done with the challenge?
