Astro Note

The art style is great, and the characters are lively and fun. I'm looking forward to learning more about Mira's. The ending scene made me excited for what's about to happen.

After one episode I have high hopes for this show. Seems like this is going to be a fun ride of a sci-fi, rom-com? show.

@coffeentacos I agree, the way you could linger on the manga pages while reading was one of the joys of this series. Anime has done as well as you can with a visual medium, I feel.

Laid-Back Camp Season 2 finished. Just as super cute and comfy as the first season. 4.5/5! Gonna have to check out the movie soon.

I'll post my next poll in which the fediverse decides my anime fate sometime this week.

@gnitro The manga is a nice, leisurely read. The mangaka has a great art style throughout!

I always put on easy listening music and get comfortable. It's a great one to read in winter

I cannot overemphasize how the HOA mindset of Mastodon is so fucking annoying. Yes, it varies by instance. I don't think the fandom ones (fedfandom, blorbo.social & fandom.ink) have that culture frex or even media interest ones like urusai, but when you venture beyond that to the more general ones? Ooooh, so annoying. Even some of the ostensibly helpful tip accounts have this attitude and it's so OFF-PUTTING. (Yes, I keep a mental list like a true old school fandom hag.)

@blackmagie Yeah I agree to a large extent. I've noticed the smaller, more focused instances like you mentioned don't seem to have this issue as much.

I can see how people bounce off if they join a general one and are immediately told off for Posting Wrong™️

Hello! My name is Bitter (or Ben) I'm writing up a new introduction since I'm planning on sticking around the Fediverse for a good while.

My day job is working in IT in the MSP space. I wear a lot of different hats day to day. Firm believer that computers might have been a mistake and software was DEFINITELY a mistake.

My main hobbies are video games, manga, anime, baseball (go guards), music, complaining about technology, and anything else that happens to catch my interest (which is a bunch of stuff)

My favorite games: Fire Emblem (any) & VA-11 Hall-A

I've had great interactions on here so far, hoping to have many more!

I need additional opinions, PC Enthusiasts...

At its worst, PC symptoms were:

  1. When left awake but inactive for long periods, deadlocks
  2. 75% of boot attempts deadlocked during startup
  3. Rarely, bluescreen with "core_watchdog_timeout" error
  4. Even more rarely, automatic hard restarts before OS bootflow
  5. Literally zero problems during normal operation. Multiple tests run against all the hardware.

@neatchee Sounds to me like the CPU is getting locked up, especially if you've seen that "core_watchdog_timeout" BSOD. My first thoughts would be chipset drivers and BIOS update. If you overclock your CPU set it back to its default clock or under clock it a bit to see if that stabilizes it.

Seems unlikely to be Windows imo, but anything is possible, especially if Windows has some corrupted files somewhere. Could try running "sfc /scannow" in command prompt to see if it finds any corrupt files as something really easy to try.

Something power related is my other guess. Might be worth trying a different power supply or getting new cables if you have a modular power supply.

I have for sure seen scenarios professionally where it was the power in the room/circuit that was the issue. Might be worth trying a different room or power strip.

Motherboard could be giving up the ghost. When I see this type of issue on workstations/laptops, it usually involves a board replacement since it changes out so many things at once haha

Issues like this are always needle in a haystack scenarios and are sooooo frustrating when it's your own computer.

Got around to watching episode 1 My Happy Marriage at the recommendation of a friend. Looks like a shoujo anime with an actual budget. First episode was really promising!

What a morning. Woke up with a stiff neck muscle and can't fully turn either way... went to start my morning coffee, and the coffee maker won't power on...
