The same tactic in both sides - Katchatheevu and Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara. In the former, it was stoking old fires to singe ties with a friendly nation just for electoral gains. In the latter, it is completely overlooking the fact that Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara was well within the grasp of Indian troops, but it could have extended the war. The tactic is to revise history to show himself as 'brave' to win votes in the present, without any context of the on-ground situation in the past.

What could/should be India's official state gesture, I wonder. As simple as 'folded hands' 🙏 since that is the universal namaste in the country?

Never forget: "Instead of using the space January provided to reinforce social distancing, we allowed massive election rallies and Kumbh Mela. India has one of the lowest public healthcare budgets. That coupled with leadership that lacked foresight may just change the map of India forever."

You may fall in one of two buckets after watching the new ad for iPad Pro. Conceived in-house, using a popular theme of demolishing/crushing things and appealing to our sense of excited discomfort in seeing things being smashed to glory.

So, we see a range of things including assorted music instruments (including a grand piano), TV, cameras, music players, many cans of paint, books, etc. being pulverized in an industrial crusher. And voila, all the 'junk' vanishes to reveal a single iPad. 1/5

I had no idea about the existence of Lahori Zeera, but after watching the terrific new ad by the agency Enormous, not only do I know it exists, but I also have a tremendous urge to try it out 😀

The ad's narrative is an old trope of showing a lot of people being the product's users/customers. But it is the creative device that truly stands out by stretching advertising exaggeration to its limits and beyond, enough to make it truly preposterous and memorable! 1/4

Total arrogance and 'anything-for-votes' shamelessness

"At least women in villages don’t have to ask their husbands for money to go to their parents’ homes or to take the children out, even if it is to go to the temple. The men are jealous that the women don’t need their permission anymore", says Sreedevi M, a homemaker from Bengaluru who is part of a group of four travelling to Saundatti Yellamma. It’s an apparent reclamation of the public space by one half of the population – a sight so disruptive and unusual from less than a year ago".

Never forget: "In the face of calamity, Mr Modi froze. From April 25, after he called off the Kumbh and his West Bengal rallies, Mr Modi disappeared. He made no public appearance for 20 days. The Prime Minister of India fled the field when his people needed the government most. This is not history from 1526, this happened to us just three years ago and must not be forgotten".

"The action against Mr Kejriwal—by an enforcement arm of the government just weeks before parliamentary elections are due, when the alleged infraction concerns a case that dates back two years—surely merited intervention by the EC because of the timing". —Now itself BJP is behaving like this means, after supposed "400", India's next election may be like Russia's recent joke-election.

Looks like there's a competition to be disgusting, though no one can touch BJP in that department, with a long history of vocally supporting violent, disgusting perpetrators WHILE taking the name of assorted Gods in the same breath, thereby severely abusing and insulting Hinduism.

"Lakhs of Indians are bitten every year. Most of them must be poor because if this had happened to middle-class people or the rich, India would have probably exterminated stray dogs by now. India has among the most compassionate regimes in the world. Some of the laws that protect homeless dogs are so thoughtful that it would appear a stray dog has infiltrated lawmaking."

Electoral Bonds corruption + BJP's mega washing machine, together, in one irresistible package.

Rithwik Projects Private Ltd., founded by BJP Rajya Sabha MP.
January 14, 2023: Awarded EPC contract for 382-MW Sunni hydroelectric project.
January 27, 2023: Purchased 5 electoral bonds of ₹1 crore each.
April 11, 2023: Purchased 40 bonds worth ₹40 crores.

This BJP leader was with TDP earlier.
October 2018: ED and I-T searched his home and office.
June 2019: Our man joins BJP.

BJP's wet dream! - "Social trust is the bedrock of collective action and therefore, in a dictatorship, to be feared. Political spying thus kills two birds with one stone: it identifies potential threats to the regime, and it sows distrust among the population."

In a way, we are seeing this in action already. We proactively silence ourselves and do not criticize BJP/Modi in any way for fear that someone may take offense. 1/2

2/2 Ditto with WhatsApp groups, where any not-positive mention of BJP/Modi would end up with the moderator politely reminding us, "No politics please". At least, pre-2014, we, the people, were together in criticizing the Govt. Now, more of us fear saying anything about the Govt. and a lot less of us continue to voice our views boldly (till BJP unleashes the IT act or other acts to block our accounts; which seems imminent these days).
