Finally a Mac Pro review. Answers the big question I had about PCie. Most of the slots are all sharing a single 4.0 x16 connection into the CPU. 👎 It's a lot of bandwidth but a 100Gbps card + RAID NVMe card would end up bottlenecking.

Disappointing given the huge price bump for the PCIe slots. Probably the biggest proof that this thing was meant to ship with a quad chip, not the Ultra.

@paul People wanted the Mac Pro so they could have a system they could upgrade, so it's clear that the right machine for that is one that checks can't be upgraded
