Woman texts me on a date with another man to tell me that she's a winner and getting laid and I'm not. As part of her weird attempt at whatever proceeds to tell me she got compliments for her blowjob skills the day before. I told her this is weird and gross behavior, I'm not interested anymore and that there are more mature ways to tell someone you're not interested but she claims this was not her intent. Okay... 😅🤢🤮

People don't do this, right? WTF.

Adventurers in modern #dating.

This is so annoying. The other day I was over-stressed and burnt out from doing too much. Now I feel icky from doing too little. Impossible to satisfy these gods!

My fiance thinks it's bad that I think of payments in terms of hours of my life.

I make $22/hr

I paid about one hour of my life for lunch

I went drinking and spent 5 hours of my life there in food and drinks

Rent costs me 20 hours of my life

It helps keep everything in perspective personally

apodoxus,
@apodoxus@mastodon.online avatar

@Nagaram How is your rent so cheap? Mine would be 37 hours of my life, assuming a 40 hour work week.

apodoxus,
@apodoxus@mastodon.online avatar

@weilawei Yeah, I should have mentioned my rent is also dirt cheap, like bottom of the barrel.

apodoxus,
@apodoxus@mastodon.online avatar

@Nagaram There any good work there?

apodoxus,
@apodoxus@mastodon.online avatar

@Nagaram That sounds pretty secure. Where are you from originally?

How's he culture out there? I got a friend in NorCal who's not doing there and wants to go somewhere different but not back to Missouri but he's not exactly your cishet normie type bro, you know.

apodoxus,
@apodoxus@mastodon.online avatar

@Nagaram That sounds great! Thanks. Sounds like you choose a legit and affordable place there!

I've been watching walking tours on crowded streets and something I noticed is that people in #Stockholm are absolutely terrible at it compared to Americans. I've noticed the same thing in the city near here. I don't understand why Swedes seem to be missing this brain module. 😆 Everything else is so organized here. People fucking love standing in lines in #Sweden.

This is how I would draw my current #depression. Everything has been the best ever for the last few months but now I'm back to where I started. Since this started, I've come out of it for a few hours or days but each time it goes back down it's worse...

    @neurovagrant You're welcome, brother. Let me show you the one that really got me back into this:

    It's so relaxing for some reason, especially with the rain audio.

    It's really helping with my burn out. Managed to get seriously relaxed using this kind of stuff.

    Building self-efficacy (confidence in your ability to accomplish your goals) is itself a skill. Start small and build up gradually by accomplishing smaller successes. Continue in this way until you get where you're going.

    Why is the color so good in this video though?

    Also, why do so many people have umbrellas but not shoes appropriate for a rainy day?

    Really vile security antipattern in gaming: enable 2FA and get a free in-game thing.

    What this is supposed to do: defend against giving password to scammers.

    What this actually teaches: "do something with your account security settings to get something free" is a legitimate pattern. IOW phishing is following a legitimate pattern.

    apodoxus,

    @dalias Reminds me of that story where the British Empire asks subjects in India to bring them the head f some sort of snakes that were becoming a pest in exchange for payment. Instead of decreasing the number of snakes, people started breeding them for their heads.

    I figured out a practical way to reduce salt intake. What I do is note the date that I refill the salt shaker (100g salt) and then try to extend the amount of time it goes between refills gradually.

    If you live with other people, then I guess you'd need your own personal salt shaker.

    #health

    apodoxus,
    @apodoxus@mastodon.online avatar

    @urig I don't buy much packaged food, so it's not much of an issue for me. Other than a few sauces, all my salt intake is either from the salt shaker or from eating out (which is also rare for me.) That part itself took a couple years to get into place with gradual changes.

    To those who say "capitalism doesn't force people to do anything. They have free will", if someone put a gun to the head of someone, would that not be a use of force? And how would you feel if the gunman said "I'm not forcing you to do anything. You have the freewill not to give me your money." But if you don't then you'll die, just like the worker will die if they don't do what the capitalist says.

    If it's fear, then I confront it instead of avoiding it.

    If it's anger, then I avoid it instead of confronting it.

    This is working really fucking well, and the theory is beautiful too.
