Basically, to change urban female cycling habits, we also need a campaign to convince American women that they can safely carry their kids, groceries and laptops by bike — and that they will still look put together at the end of their trip.

Cascade Public Media is laying off five Crosscut journalists including myself. The company rationalized layoffs as a restructuring decision to reach younger, more diverse audiences… but CPM chose to eliminate my colleagues who do just that. Our readers, the newsroom, my colleagues and I deserve better.
