@jon I imagine this line of the Tenda railway must be one of the greatest fuck-ups of cross-border-rail traveller experiences between two G7 nations, in terms of e. g. timetable and ticketing 🤯

Und habe mich gefragt, wie sie auf 10 €/Monat kommen.     @jon Ist das nicht vergleichbar mit den "Pur-Abos", die Zeitungen einem online andrehen wollen, um ihren Content werbefrei zu lesen? Wobei diese ja nichtmal kostendeckend sind (im Gegensatz zum Meta-Angebot, anscheinend)

    DB ICE Sprinter services

    Yes, fewer stops make them a little faster than regular ICEs

    But that’s not the real gain

    It’s not having announcements and passengers coming and going every 20 minutes. Instead there’s a calmness, a peace on board as passengers relax into their journey. And I appreciate that a lot…

    Oh and being 20 mins from Berlin makes me happy too ☺️

    @jon Last year I took the 05:33 ICE sprinter Berlin-Cologne-Bonn for the first time. It was such an interesting experience to be on an ICE that does not stop for 4 hours. Was beneficial for sobering up as I had been on a part the evening before 🙈

    @jon So far I have only been in the Hitachi Caravaggio/Rock trains of Trenitalia and can understand it gives you mixed feelings. What confused me most is that there are certain areas in the train with no windows at all and that there is "dead end" in the upper deck of the first/last coach. On the other hand they have eletrical outlets for E-Bikes and I can assume they can carry loads of passengers during Rush hour

    @jon If I see correctly this train Mehltheuer-Kraslice passes Herlasgrün which is one of four triangular stations in Germany (according to Wikipedia). The biggest of those four is Ludwigshafen (Rhein) Hbf

    Es hat ein klareres, farbcodiertes Design und es gibt eine Reihe kleiner Änderungen sowohl an den Zug- als auch an den Fährteilen des Diagramms
