The obvious next step for Twitter is to announce that if you subscribe to Blue no one will be able to block you

Synchroma,

@caseynewton You really are like the Nostradamus of — accurate yet slightly daunting predictions!

I find culture discussions really interesting. So many behaviours have been ingrained in us since childhood and they vary significantly based on where we grew up in the world.

Culture, in many aspects, is what people EXPECT, what they are USED TO and therefore what they feel COMFORTABLE with. Comparing cultures is really illuminating, understanding a few basic differences that can trip us up even if people from each background have the best of intentions.

Synchroma,

@airwhale Culture & Identity, the building block of collaborative communities, entirely ‘non-competitive’ and thriving in diversity. Have always though about how artistic communities are used precisely for this purpose, to make undesired areas desirable again — Red Hook in NY, Barreiro in Lisbon, even Kreuzberg in Berlin… is everything!

"Few would consent to the state putting CCTV in everyone’s bedroom to crack down on the abuse of children. But that is effectively what a technology notice could mean: a CCTV camera in everyone’s phones."

Synchroma,

@openrightsgroup Yes to protection through encryption, BUT ALSO FROM THE PROVIDERS. There is evidence of the mal appropriation of data from Meta — governments and companies should not be communication via Whatsapp. User habits are what needs to change:

“ The shutdown of WhatsApp would be a political disaster for any government, and not just because ministers and MPs would lose their main communications platform; millions of people who use it across the country will also lose theirs. ”

I'm an absolute sucker for pseudo-scientific documentaries, e.g. about extraterrestrials, pyramids, or ancient times.

I know I'll learn nothing but nonsense, but I still feel kind of entertained 🫣

Synchroma,

@fribbledom Love the Scooby Doo predictable ending of every pseudo-science documentary:

I’m not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens
