#Programming in #Python question:
This should be easy, but I can’t find a straightforward solution anywhere. How can one ask the user to select one **or more ** directories using a graphical interface?

There is “tkFileDialog.askdirectory()” in the Tkinter module but it only allows to select one directory. Any implementations of that function that allow for directory multiselection?
(Yes, I could do a loop and call the same function multiple times but I wouldn’t call that straightforward)

I submitted a paper to HardwareX (an Elsevier journal) 100d ago today (3+ months). Not seeing any activity, I sent an email to the editor, and I was told they have yet to decide whether to send it for review or not... Can anybody recommend another journal that would be interested in a description of a simple open hardware device for measuring muscle stiffness in an animal model?

Q for my fellow neuroscience peeps. Is there a way to stabilize the expression of cre if its under the control of a promoter that is active only transiently during development?

Is it possible to cross a cre line with a cre-dependent cre-expressing reporter mouse so that cre become permanently expressed in the population of interest, and amenable for e.g. virus injection in the adult?

Are there tried and true solutions?
