Hey London friends, I’m planning to spend the day down there on Wednesday doing some tourist things before I give a talk at LoPUG in the evening.

Getting real tired of Spotify's constant "hey, here's an advert for tickets for some bands concert" banners at the top of the app that take up too much space and just get in the way.

@brunty That was the last straw for me and I've recently switched over to Apple Music. Enjoying it much more than recent Spotify. (The recent price increase was also a good excuse to switch)

@anderseknert that’s true here too. But I trust our testing and release process so I know things can be pushed out wherever is needed. 🙂 (we actually only work 4 days at Giant Swarm and a lot of people are off on Friday too because of that)

I have just learnt that when travelling in the EU my mobile provider applies a “fair use limit” of 12Gb of data instead of just allowing me to use the data amount I pay for each month.

I’m like 90% sure this is a recent thing as I’ve never got this before when travelling. 😔

Erk! 20 minute notice of a 2 hour power cut. That'll make WFH fun. Better hope all my batteries are charged.

(Sadly, the solar battery doesn't allow isolation - it is grid tied and we can't risk discharging into the mains and shocking someone.)

I'm really getting sick of @element lately. 😩 It seems like every new release of the iOS client brings more problems and fixes none of the existing bugs. It's becoming such a chore to keep using it. 😞

Plus the whole "we're now focussed on working on Element X and not really supporting the old client" even though Element X is missing major features that mean it's not a replacement for the old one. Ugh!

@element Yeah, I get the problems. I was maybe too critical in my initial post but the impact on my daily interactions are there and aren't going to be fixed because they're not "critical". I just have to put up with my notifications not being reliable / reflecting the actual state of things.
It's currently something I rely on for a lot of my day-to-day life and the current bugs are unnaccaptable for my case so I, unfortunately, need to find an alternative 😞
