In 2015 while in a trance state I made contact with a feminine spirit who in subsequent trances gave me the design of my Alchemical apparatus. I didn't know its purpose at the time but more trances followed and it was revealed that the apparatus was for divination and ritual communication.

My Grandad was also interested in Alchemy and I also study and re-create his work from 1930's notebooks.

@RustyBertrand Very interesting story. I've been working around low level ionizing radiation for nearly 30 years. So far no third eye. But bad things can happen if you're not careful! Tbh, I'm more scared of the regular chemicals used in the lab where I work.

@Cat_LeFey had an interesting poll on the classic ritual objects.

Does anyone else have an unusual object or type of object they use in their practice?

For instance, I use an Octohedron that I had custom 3D printed for me. It's about the size of a honeydew melon. It's silver in color.

I had a trance this morning that determined I should write or inscribe certain words on the eight sides. I'm considering this but I don't want to ruin it. It's very elegant as it is.

The Philosopher's Stone:
A very common symbol in Alchemy is The Philosopher’s Stone. What is it?

The (let's abbreviate) PS like many alchemical symbols has many meanings.

The most common meaning refers to the final product of the alchemical transformation. This could be the material worked upon or the alchemists themselves.

There are often magical or miraculous properties attributed to the PS. It may be a super pure gold or a medical wonder cure.

It is often used as a “seed material" added to the Prima Materia to start the next cycle of transformation.

When these attributes describe the Alchemist, the practitioner becomes noble like the gold or a healer of body and spirit. He may be the ”seed” and pass his wisdom on to others. The PS may be a reconstituted body thereby conquering death.

If the practitioner is religious the PS may be a manifestation of a god or goddess.

If this is the case the interesting angle here in contrast to most common manifestations is that the actualized Spirit or Deity is produced from the Material (or Person) being worked on and is not drawn from any supernatural realm. The Spirit is considered as released from the material world. This attitude can create a feeling of relation or equality between the Material and Spiritual planes of existence.

The Squared Circle figure- I see the triangle as “ relation" the square as “solidity" and the circle as “infinity". The symbol then is infinity contained in the material.

Police officers came to our highschool once a month with drug dogs, we had to line up in the hallways while they sniffed us. The cops would berate us the whole time despite nobody acting up on account of, you know, the guns. They could go through your locker and throw your shit on the floor if they wanted.

Our crime was existing as children in a low income area
