@Cat_LeFey had an interesting poll on the classic ritual objects.

Does anyone else have an unusual object or type of object they use in their practice?

For instance, I use an Octohedron that I had custom 3D printed for me. It's about the size of a honeydew melon. It's silver in color.

I had a trance this morning that determined I should write or inscribe certain words on the eight sides. I'm considering this but I don't want to ruin it. It's very elegant as it is.

I've been reading a book I got for my birthday about Zosimos the Egyptian alchemist and the connections to my own spiritual journey are blowing me away! Especially in relation to the hermeneutics I've been submerging myself in meditatively. The idea that an Egyptian temple has its own grammar and creates a "world" within a world is profound. It opens up an entire new way to experience the architecture, hieroglyphs and iconography. It's thrilling!

About six weeks ago the Goddess had me make a small paper snake which I was then to use as a charm. I thought it was channeling negative energy but all indications are that it is a healing charm. The thing I wanted to damage with it is thriving!
Now I'm supposed to burn the snake.
Has anyone encountered similar instructions?
What is the meaning of this?

I don't like to waste a lot of time exercising so I started doing pushups at work when I'm in remote parts of the factory.
Trouble is my shoulders are starting to hurt again. I stopped once before to let them heal. I've checked and my technique seems correct. Any ideas? Should I work through the pain? Or just give up before I mess myself up? This is not my area of expertise.

I quit smoking about a year ago (again) and I think the psychoactive drugs are completely out of my system. I've slipped back. I'm no longer remembering dreams and my trance frequency has dropped considerably.
Does anyone have any suggestions to help increase dream activity?

After dipping into some Jung, I feel like I'm missing out. Hopefully my body is getting the message even if my conscious mind is out of the loop.

I had a day and a half to explore Istanbul, Turkey. It was awesome. I threw caution to the wind on my food intolerances and paid a price- but I couldn't resist.

I was inside not one but two mosques in one day. I had never been in one before.
The Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia.
Both are fabulous treasures with amazing histories.

I had to remove my shoes and my girl had to cover her head also at each.

Islam is an intense religion. There were guys in there yelling at the visitors if you were doing something wrong.

Definitely not for me. I like my devotion fast and loose.

Great town anyway. 5 stars!

A real Valentine's treat.
I've had really awful heartburn/reflux the last couple days. Two hours sleep last night. Nothing new for me. It's been a regular occurrence for years.
Anyone have any good treatments?
Usual blockers and antacids don't dent it.
It makes me crabby.

Homonculus:
Some Alchemists aim to create an artificial being known as a Homonculus. The practice may be interpreted as a precursor to reproductive and genetic science on one hand, and the effort to embody the universal spirit on the other. The goal was to create a life within the Alchemical vessel.

The starting Prima Materia used was sometimes bodily fluid. It was widely held that tiny fully formed humans were present in sperm. In this case the creature could be grown like a plant from a seed.

Other related goals could be to make a n indestructible new body for oneself out of divine universal materials.

Or some may have wished to create a super human servant or helper. The homonculus was probably a model for Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein story.

The depictions of the Homonculus found in Alchemical contexts usually show a little human figure in a flask or adjacent to other Alchemical works. The name itself comes from the Latin for “little man in the bottle".

I took a personal business day because of the snow storm. They won't close the plant no matter what. Even though they know no products are manufactured or shipping today. And all the bosses are "working from home". Workers are expected to risk their lives on the roads for nothing. Not me.

My transformation is opposite. I have become lunar man bathed in the desire (light/heat) of my solar goddess #Hathor .
