Stands with disinfectant as far as the eye could see.
Zero masks other than my own, not even baggie blues.
Zero.

in the examination room:

Had to be alerted by family that my tap water has e-coli in it.
No warnings.
Right after the big fascist win, almost symbolic (also right after I drank a glass of water).

A very local problem, and a certain restaurant was mentioned in a news article:

"We keep serving tea and coffee and we don't boil the water for 3 minutes. Customers can decide for themselves whether they want to take the risk."

Customer: "I don't think I will get sick. And if I do, so be it."

My mother and her entire friend group have the flu. It is absolutely one hundred percent the flu, no doubt.

And no, she didn't have a test lying around and it is too late to test anyway so there's nothing she can do about it now.

She hasn't been able to do anything all week, feels horrible.

An old friend of mine has had Long Covid.
So she was aware of the damage Covid can do.
We talked about the government's Let It Rip policy...

Then suddenly this week she posted this:

Very mild.
Period!

Nothing else, just those three little words.

What scares me most is what Covid does to the brain.
People who were careful prior to their first infection suddenly become danger bunnies.
They deny what happens to them. That they infect others. That they've been sick.
Recklessness.

Exhausting.

And there's nothing we can do but stand by and watch it happen. Again.

    Any rich person who thinks like this should advocate for clean air and mask mandates.

    There are so many personnel shortages everywhere due to Covid and Long Covid, people simply disappearing from the work force, employers just can't squeeze the life out of everyone else anymore like they were able to in pre-pandemic times.

    If people like him (money, power) start making that connection that could be good.

    Hi, I am a nearly half a century old Dutch person who is overwhelmed a lot of the time.
    I am dedicated to working decades of old trauma out of my rickety body.

    When I get rid of the all-pervasive fear I'll hopefully start painting again, which made me feel like everything was right with the world.
    For now I'm creatively constipated and trying to navigate through the fog in my head. (It's hard to find words.)
