This woman figured out how to play games with her mind. #EldenRing, #Minecraft, you name it.

She’s a paychology graduate (the video isn’t more specific) who built a system to use an EEG device and translate her brain activity into game controls. Wild stuff, of course with a ton of potential for all kinds of things, especially accessibility.

They offer 500 silver within 4 weeks of answering. Survey link is single-use only, don't share it.

Seems to be going to people who are not big names, streamers, etc. (or at least that is my friend's case). I have... let's say, 'more than hundreds' of hours in this game and do not have it.

Interesting idea, I'd love to hear about the results. 🤔

Just to check: Is there any way to deterministically make heavy ammo for yourself?

Like, do X = guaranteed heavy for you (whether or not also for others).

I know there are ways to guarantee it for others (Aeons, Cenotaph), and IIRC there used to be armor mods for this, right? Like 'finisher eats X of your super and makes heavy ammo for you/everyone.' But nothing now, right?

• Four unnamed games coming to other consoles (older than a year, so no Starfield)
• All Blizzard Activision games coming to GamePass starting with Diablo 4 in a little bit
• Hint at new hardware by holidays 2024
• aaand that’s it?

Xbox is not dissolving as a platform. Pretty weak announcement IMO. #Microsoft

Here's a rant that should get me kicked off a couple lists: Breath of the Wild #BotW is bad and its game designers should feel bad.

There is nothing - nothing - fun about your weapon breaking after looking at two enemies, and thus having to carry and farm 300 copies of the same weapon to avoid this problem.

There are far, far, far, far, far better ways to encourage different strategies and playstyles besides this boneheaded, shortsighted, bad, stupid, dumb, and terrible mechanic.

Con:

• Need to constantly recharge
• Setup takes time
• Flaky connection
• Latency
• Can't work without power
• May connect to wrong device
• Consumes more power on playback device
• Subject to interference
• Harder to switch between devices
• Hard to share devices; might need to ask someone else to disconnect first before you can connect

Pro:

• No cord. That's it. That's the entire list.
