So. I’m going to assume she (or at least her avatar,) wasn’t as ugly as I am.

Either way. I applaud her efforts, and hope she stays safe.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

I have a hard time believing it was for anything other than pissing people off.

this is why I blocked them. Also, kinda felt I didn’t want to be seeing his crap. Biden is an awful candidate but R20 ain’t helping matters.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

honestly, if nobody interacted with R2O, do you really think he’d continue spamming?

The ground we’re talking about is our time and thoughts.

I’m normally not somebody that’ll block a person. but… I made an exception for R2O.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

That’s interesting. Care to explain?

I propose a hypothetical- that we all ignore a guy. The only assumption that I’m making is whatever his purpose is, it requires engagement.

If nobody engages, that account at least, goes away. Either R2O is here to troll, or to push a narrative or is in some other way a bad actor. All of that requires engagement.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

please don’t take this as me trolling. But…

Because of that, there’s no point in indulging in the rest of your thought experiment.

Well then. You’re free to indulge in the block button. Cuz that’s exactly what it’s there for.

Further, it doesn’t take a lot of people blocking him to remove the value in posting. there’s a diminished return the less engagement he gets. Unless he’s just a bot spamming shit everywhere, somebody is behind that account and is wasting time and energy on it. They’re going to find something else, somewhere else, or some other way, to spread their crap when they stop getting sufficient engagement.

I blocked him simply because I found myself recognizing his name and scrolling past. at that point, it’s just simpler to actually block a person.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Trump wasn’t even there.

Do you really think that they’re going to send a hit team who is so incompetent as to hit a place to kill him… when he’s not even there- particularly when ‘they’ have federal agents that are constantly monitoring his presence?

(Like seriously. if the gooberment wanted to whack him. it’d be from the Secret Service, not the FBI.)

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

she’d probably just poison the ketchup they bring out with his steaks shoe leather.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

no. he enjoys his mar a lago steaks well done. and with ketchup.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

I kinda wish they didn’t. Can you imagine the headlines if they had to cuff Trump to keep him from obstructing things?

The body cam video they’d release of his unhinged ranting as he tried to hide even more documents? Or maybe eat them?

If I can’t have justice, at least entertain me.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

I mean, I kind of insist on well done steaks when I’m at my brother’s house… mostly because my SiL has some rather unsettling food safety practices. It’s possible to cook them so they’re not totally shoe-leather, but I would never go to a steak joint and order well done.

(I don’t believe there’s anything actually wrong with being autistic, I have multiple autistic people in my family. I just think that would be amusing.)

there’s probably a less tenuous correlation there, though. just saying. Granted, correlation is not causation, but, eh… yeah.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

You wear socks…. With…. Sandals?!?!?

E’eryone, git your pitchforks!! They’re coming to force you to wear SOCKS WITH SANDALS!!!

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Wait. Real question. How does a squid wear footwear? they don’t have feet.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

Alright. I got nothing. You win.

enjoy shopping at walmart.

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

not that would be radioactive enough to do the, uh, job, no.

(you can buy some depleted uraninum in small cubes and such for people trying to collect a periodic table of the elements, etc. Or you can just buy the ore on amazon…)

FuglyDuck,
@FuglyDuck@lemmy.world avatar

maybe. maybe not. We won’t know now, though. And that’s why killing people will never be just. (I’m imperfect. I’d make a few exceptions.)

you can always come hang your sign on our side. it’ll be well hanged.

(sorry. Couldn’t resist.)

assault and battery are both vaguely termed legal definitions that depend on what state you’re in.

in MN, there’s no legal definition for battery, with assault being defined with multiple levels ranging from ‘mere’ threats through “poked me on the arm” to beating the shit out of someone.

In WI, where this happened, it seems they’re the opposite with the only mention of ‘assault’ be related to sexual assault. and battery being similar to MN’s assault charges. Though, I only took a cursory look through their laws.

it is Wisconsin.

perhaps more pertinently, small town Wisconcin. Baraboo has like 12k. Sauk County has 60k

FuglyDuck,

It rather is a huge no-no.

First, firearms carried for protection are far more likely to harm the household of the person carrying it (or keeping it in the house) than they are to harm an intruder.

Secondly, fighting near the client or whoever is being protected is like the single biggest fuck up they can make. If trump were to turn and try and fight, that just gives the attackers more opportunity to put a bullet in him (and probably get way more people dead.

No… somebody attacks him, they’re grabbing his neck, and getting him the fuck out of there and into a fortress.

I once had my fingers up a through-and-through because the dumbass shot himself with one.

Went through his thigh and nicked his femoral artery.

Two things- “hey buddy this is gonna hurt” is a stupid thing to say, and it’s okay cuz he wasn’t really paying attention anyhow.

For the record, it’s also a federal offense for him to have a firearm.

In fact, it was illegal simply handing his indicted ass that trump-branded 1911 in the gun store

You’ll notice no court made an issue of that

Edit: the pic has already been posted here,. That is an ugly ass 1911.

I’d rather be more proactive… we should start a gofundme for all he can eat hamberders.
