There was more than one person. This was the Boomer issue during the Vietnam War embodied in a couple lines in the song "Eve of Destruction", as follows:
"You're old enough to kill but not for votin'
You don't believe in war, but what's that gun you're totin'?"

...and Boomers successfully changed the voting age from 21 to 18. You're welcome, youngsters.

@ClaraListensprechen4 you should join us at for the playlist, if it looks like your kind of music. You don't have to join in the riffing unless you want to. Yesterday there was a more classical hashtag on and a more contemporary pop/rock on as well. I think there are other musical hashtags too some of the owners watch the 3 listed above. You can see my setup here (I have columns of hashtags to keep track)

I'm getting busier with outside work these days but I've bookmarked this! Thanks for the tip!!

You can load anything with butter and salt to make it tasted, well, buttery/salty, so add a pinch of brown sugar and it'll taste barbequed. Fat-salt-sweet is the palate's trigger.

Sweet-spicy is the typical Japanese fare, though, and I enjoy Japanese/Asian food. To each his own.

ClaraListensprechen4,

@freemo
Ermmm....I'm in Oklahoma, specifically....so...

I also cook. A lot of stuff that you'd think wouldn't be sweetened, actually is. The sweet is added sparingly, like salt. It's super-subtle.

Ukraine needs to get a grasp of the fact that petroleum is a global market of which Russia is just a part, so hitting Russian refineries is playing into OPEC's playbook; the two are not separate things, and it would be the equivalent of Ukraine biting the hands that feed it including the EU.

Without a doubt but if you make fuel pricier for the donor nations, that's more money they have to spend on fuel and not arms for donation.

ClaraListensprechen4,

@VikingChieftain
It's not an assumption. That is what it actually is.

ClaraListensprechen4,

@VikingChieftain
It's not up to me.
It's not up to you.
It's how the global market works, so it's a matter of cutting your own handouts by your own hand. It's also called "cutting off your nose to spite your face".

ClaraListensprechen4,

@VikingChieftain
If IF was a skiff we'd all go sailing.

What we have before us are the facts as they stand now. Despite reticent Republicans in the US, the Biden administration has bent over backwards to see that Ukraine can get what is possible to deliver without the reticent.

If you choose to cut even that off, that's on you.

This time it was an Airbus, not a Boeing. It's starting to look like all issues are with United Airlines rather than Boeing.

Web developer shit: I think about launching a browser. Oh, I logged into KDE and I haven't set up the toolbar.
What's that?
Firefox.

Okay. I should use the default browsers. It's good to use Firefox sometimes at least. Obviously, I use Vivaldi. I've tried Floorp. Haha (weird name). And MS Edge on a limited resource Linux box. That's probably weird too. I dunno why we want all of these different browsers, but I am one. What do you think?

Different browsers have different drawbacks, and that's why I'm sticking with Pale Moon, which you haven't mentioned.

    I'd suggest revisiting your personal definition of what a weed is. If you've got native wildflowers in there, I'd advise that you de-classify those as weeds. And plant lots and lots of milkweeds for the Monarchs.

    Think Pollinator Habitat.

    ClaraListensprechen4,

    @thepoliticalcat
    Ya, bermuda and Johnson Grass are the worst, and I have to deal with those too...but I'm surprised that passionfruit isn't native to TX because it is elsewhere in the South. It's host to the Gulf Fritillary buttterfly.

    A good number of weeds are edible, which is why I mention also, because native Americans have good recipes for those, and even tho Dandelion is NOT native, it's a great edible competitor to Endive. Weeds can save on groceries.

    ...depending on what the definition of "develop/developing" is...
    Previously it refers to industrial/commercial development, and considering that this one is an IMF map, there should be no doubt that it refers to industrial/commercial development.

    Excellent point, and those require more than just one grain of salt IMHO. The only thing the Sauds have going for them is petroleum and the tech that goes with that, resulting in architectural development. On other sciences and industries, not so much.

    ClaraListensprechen4,

    @VikingChieftain
    Oh--I should add that China has similar failings in the industrial department because it's still largely agricultural rather than manufacturing, and truth is that their manufacturing is still under development, so I think the label is fairly accurate.

    ClaraListensprechen4,

    @VikingChieftain
    I guess we'll have to disagree about China, because all authoritarian nations have the same problem with brain drain. Whatever industries they develop, they've obtained via industrial espionage on developed countries, and that's Reason One why China covets a li'l ole island named Taiwan.

    @freemo On the bright side, that's the best defense I've heard so far for bloatware. That kid sounds like he's all for getting the newest computer when the one he uses slows down to a crawl, very much like the millionaire who buys a new car when the ash trays get full....back when cars had ashtrays.
