I've been half way happy with it. I find the backup folders annoying and it would be awesome if you had the option to containerize tab groups

I use it on a regular basis and while it is great to have it, its not on a level where I want it to be. I am very excited about this announcement

What about nextcloud? With the memories app you have something like google photos with locally running face recognition and a timeline, etc etc. I really like it

BentiGorlich, to test German

Dann haue ich hier jetzt auch mal noch einen Test raus

This is something that is on the "roadmap" (meaning I have it on my mind). There is a github issue here for it. I have not been working at it for some time, because other more pressing matters came up, but we know about the issue

open signups mean you just register via email and password (on mastodon you still have to verify your mail) and you're good to go. On a lot of platforms you have an "approval" mode were admins have to approve each account that wants to register

I think its great. Its for people who simply don't want to share their phone number with other people which is a huge privacy concern, as you can find out a lot about a person by looking up info connected to their phone number.

finally Germany is not the one opposed to stuff like this 😅

I love it. Personally I don't think it is too expensive, though I am probably a power user of search engines, as I need it a lot while programming all sorts of stuff... So maybe it is just me saying its worth the money, because I use it a lot

BentiGorlich,
@BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.de avatar

Running a search engine is just a lot more expensive than running a VPN and email service. The amount of data and processing power needed to have a useful search index is just so much higher

The weakest Ghibli film I watched. granted I didn't watch every one but a lot of them. My main problem is the last third of the film. Nearly every arc they started is not paying off at the end because this stupid bird just destroys everything. Nothing is explained, like in a lot of Ghibli films, however most of the other films imply meaning in a lot of ways and explain the world in subtle ways which this one just misses so hard...

The weird thing is: the first time I saw this movie I thought "ah the first Ghibli movie that is not from Miyazaki" and its the exact opposite xD

Hi there, mbin dev here. We have a configuration problem with rate limits. "429 Too Many Requests" is the server saying "you requested to much, I will not send you any responses anymore". Feedback is noted and we'll try to get that sorted out asap

I've been enjoying FactorIO a lot lately. Just a great game and playable on the steam deck, unlike Satisfactory.

BentiGorlich,
@BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.de avatar

I don't, just didn't know how it is spelled and thought they did it this way. I pronounce it in one word "factorio". I think the small "i" in their logo confused me 😅

Very informative, thank you :)

Problem for me is: there is not a 6 bay enclosure and the 8 bay enclosures cost as many as a RAID capable one

BentiGorlich,
@BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.de avatar

Since hardware RAID is not state of the art anymore I will definetly stick with software RAID. I think I will just build a new server for the money, since an 8-Bay USB enclosure costs around 600€ and for that amount of money I can just build a new server with even better performance

BentiGorlich,
@BentiGorlich@gehirneimer.de avatar

Thats what I will be going for 😁
