This fabulous hard bop (not so hard) record was cut shortly after the previous Davis/ Jackson collab Bags Groove. No one's really breaking a sweat but boy, they know their way round this stuff. Jackie McLean, alto; Perry Heath, bass; Ray Bryant, piano; Arthur Taylor, drums. It was apparently Miles' last date with McLean due to the latter's excessive drug use. The nearly 70yo mono pressing sounds amazing.
