Only if had some sort of future matchmaking, it would throw on its ribs. Potential players could flood in at the appointed times, do raids and generally have fun without overbearing deserted atmosphere.

No, I want this feature RIGHT IN THE GAME, not some cesspool of a Discord server filled with "events". An ability to book your gaming spot on servers and times of choice.

Privacy footprint is small if you don't shove your entire schedule into the thing, so I don't see trouble on that end. Only technicalities and instance that would book the spots or others servers will need to have some tiny bits implemented. A matter of updating and opting in to future matchmaking. I'm definitely not asking all servers suddenly have this by default, just those that allow such batches of players.

Mind you, I don't want to sound like I am pessimistic about #savetf2 #fixtf2, because I would really love to see the bot problem be solved; but I want people to realize they're really just asking to save Valve servers.

TF2 has a lot more problems that people don't talk about.

@Rowedahelicon You are speaking sense! Really, #TeamFortress2 went so sideways, that bot hosters swatting your home are the least of dangers. The real danger is the brainrot and refusing to accept that defaults (like official #Valve servers) tend to attract the audience for cash-making abusers. These are times when distributing moderation and teaching how community servers operate are essential for sane multiplayer sessions.

To be fair, #FixTF2 is a good opportunity to gather all evidence of how aimbots affect the whole #TeamFortress2 and it's not just the major places that are at risk. Distributed moderation is kind of an idea that popped up in me when I was reminded of bad actors ganging up on servers of different sizes.

As @tijuu_ has pointed out, though, the ultimate and more realistic goal is to get #Valve to communicate at least some news, good or bad. And another insight that you can glean from the video is that players are self-moderating the space with reactive kick-voting, which is definitely awesome and contributes into distribution of power. Obviously, it can be abused by bots if they join in a batch, so developer needs tell the community what is needed to prevent this.

All that #SaveTF2 people ask is a tiny inkling of participation with basic feedback from the developer, not yacking the lootbox cash-cow or other masking updates.
