Un workflow creato al volo su n8n (che gira sul mio #server), che usa la #API semplificata del plugin WP per pubblicare, dato che per qualche motivo il modulo WordPress integrato nella piattaforma non funziona per il mio #sito.
Tutto insieme, questo sistema mi ha permesso di pubblicare su #WordPress effettivamente tramite un messaggio SMS, inviato dal mio #smartphone principale, ricevuto dal secondario che ha #Internet e fa le sue cose. Nel video c’è la dimostrazione di quel post di prima, appunto; di sfondo, l’interfaccia di #n8n che si aggiorna per mostrare la nuova esecuzione avvenuta, e il #MicroBlog con il nuovo post arrivato… 🐵️
Ora, ripeto che questo era un #EsercizioDiStile, e per il momento nell’anno del signore #2023 non ho esigenza di postare così, ma forse il concetto generale potrebbe tornare utile per le emergenze, e in ogni caso certamente fa figo provare sulla mia #piattaforma l’ebrezza di una funzione che solo #Twitter di tutte ha avuto, e solo per poco tempo. 😤️
Se in futuro volessi davvero usarla, innanzitutto implementerei un sistema di #OTP, così che ogni volta che voglio pubblicare devo anche inserire un codice temporaneo (perché SMS è un colabrodo di protocollo, e sarebbe possibile per dei criminali inviare un messaggio che appare come dal mio numero), poi magari implementerei funzioni come la modifica dei post (oltre che qualche feedback per pubblicazione avvenuta con successo o meno, cosa che ho evitato ora perché dalla seconda #SIM non posso inviare messaggi, solo ricevere). Am I the only person that loves funny/unique/sad/interesting item descriptions and usages in video games?
Seriously, everything from the Sims games to FFXIV to Star Ocean First Departure R (currently playing) - one thing I love about all of those are how writers use items (or in FFXIV furnishing items and minions) as their own worldbuilding, tell short stories, become a part of the world.
This line proves that the SIM Registration law is ineffective against spam, "Globe said it was aware of rising cases in the wake of stricter SMS regulation through the SIM Registration Act."
It's looking more and more like the PH government pushed for this law for surveillance of its citizens.
Just like with #eCall + banning #anonymous#Prepaid#SIM cards basically making a #GSM#tracker mandatory in #cars under the dalse claim to do "roadside assistance and distress calls" when other options would've offered the same at far less cost, better privacy and better coverage...
As I hope you've already discovered, the Fediverse is nothing like Twitter/𝕏. There is no algorithm automatically forwarding your posts to those who might be interested in them. Also, even though Mastodon has introduced full-text search, it's only slowly picking up.
Instead, the key to post visibility and discoverability is using hashtags.
If you're using OpenSim, and you aren't sure what to tag, here are some recommendations. If I mention a tag explicitly, it most likely already exists.
First of all, of course, #OpenSimulator and #OpenSim. You may use either, but I recommend using both.
Then there's #Metaverse. The OpenSim community has used that word for some 15 years already. Besides, it helps demonstrate three things to those who search for it. One, "The Metaverse" isn't dead. Two, it wasn't invented by Zuckerberg either. Three, it can be done and has been done without a blockchain, a cryptocurrency and NFTs. (If you want to write about Zuck's worlds, use #Horizons or specifically #HorizonWorlds instead.)
I myself also use #VirtualWorlds, and so do some Second Life and OpenSim users.
If you write about a grid or mention it sufficiently, tag it. #OSgrid, #Kitely, #3rdRockGrid, #Groovyverse, #CraftWorld, #Bridgemere, #DorenasWorld, #Dereos, #ArtDestiny, #DiscoveryGrid, #BarefootDreamers, #Neverworld, #Astralia, #AviWorlds, #EtheriaGrid, #TheGridThatShallNotBeNamed (you know which one I mean) etc. This should include dead grids such as #Metropolis.
Sometimes things might get complicated, for example if there's a popular abbreviation or acronym for a grid. In that case, feel free to tag e.g. both #AlternateMetaverse and #AMV or both #GreatCanadianGrid and #GCG. It really only gets complicated with #WolfTerritories, #WolfTerritoriesGrid, #WTGrid and #WolfGrid, all four of which have been used by Lone Wolf himself.
In addition, if you actually write about a grid, you might want to use #Grid. Not so much for fleeting mentions.
Of course, #Hypergrid if you mention that.
Events usually come with their own official suggestions for social media hashtags. This year, for example, we've already had #OSG16B for OSgrid's 16th birthday, #OSFest2023 for OpenSimFest (#OpenSimFest or #OSFest) and #HIE2023 for the Hypergrid International Expo (#HypergridInternationalExpo, #HIE or #HIEOpenSim). The OpenSimulator Community Conference is always shortened to #OSCC, and the year is always two-digit, e.g. #OSCC23. And let's not forget #CornflakesWeek.
Other things worth tagging include OpenSim's own mesh bodies: #RuthAndRoth for the whole project, #Ruth2 and #Roth2. #RuthToo and #RothToo or even #RuthTooRC3 and #RothTooRC1. #LuvMyBod. #Max, #Maxine and #Maxwell.
Some more examples for OpenSim-related tags I've used before: #OAR, #HGSafari, #MadeInOpenSim, #ArcadiaAsylum, #LbsaPlaza, #WrightPlaza, #EventPlaza, #Clutterfly, #OpenSimWorld, #BakesOnMesh (feel free to yoink this one, Second Life users), #FirestormViewer (ditto), #PBR (ditto), #LSL (ditto) and #OSSL, #ZHAO (ditto) and #khAOs, #SFposer, #DreamGrid, #Sim, #SimBuilding (good for talking about how a sim is built)... You could also reference what I call #TheGreatGridDyingOf2022.
More generally, there are tags such as #Avatar/#Avatars, #VirtualArchitecture, #VirtualTravel and #VirtualClothing/#VirtualFashion. And if it's related to education, #VirtualWorldsEducation would be the tag.
Some time ago I struggled to bridge my disrupted DLS internet connection through #LTE#Mobile connection.
Sadly I was only partly successful.
It turn out the #SIM I got from my provider doesn't work with LTE USB sticks, just with their LTE router 😠
Now I ask myself, how is this done?
I would like to understand the SIM registration and connection process. I guess there is a device id sent when the SIM connects but would like to understand more.

Given that I have 634 unplayed games in my Steam account and {mumble} unredeemed bundle Steam keys, there's a reason my unplayed collection is tagged "Pile of Shame".
I'll pin this to my profile, and give a brief summary here each day (or x, if I miss x days due to work or stuff).
I'll play 15-30 minutes of (at least) one new game I've never played before (or played less than 15 minutes of). I'll give every game at least 15 minutes, even if I hate every minute of it.
I'm also open to suggestions; if you reply to this thread with a game, I'll schedule it, or tell you what I thought of it.
One of the things that's come up is that I have a bunch of games that I've played once, and not touched again.

Mr. Prepper is the final game in the October Humble Choice. It's 2.5D cooker-themed... sorry, "prepper"-themed survival sim.
It basically feels like Fallout Shelter if it were about SovCits. And written by SovCits.
You play as the titular "Mr. Prepper" who literally goes by that name in-game, introducing himself as that to other NPCs.
The US government has been taken over by some kind of fascist organisation that stopped Mr. Prepper from escaping from his home town in the midwest, and is now monitoring him for subversive behaviour.
You need to build a bunker for him, and build a whole lot of stuff for the bunker, all while hiding it from the regular government inspections.
This is another game where if the theme of the game were different I might enjoy it more, but the whole real-world prepper/conspiracy theorist Venn diagram takes the shine off it, and just gives me a case of the icks.

WWE 2K23 is a pro wrestling sports sim. It's game #2 in the November Humble Choice bundle.
I am not a sports fan; my wife passionately fills that role in our relationship. I'll occasionally watch a game with her, but sports just don't do anything for me.
Then there's professional wrestling. Not only do I not see the appeal, I find it actively repellent. The showboating aggressive and sweaty men give off the same vibe as the boys who used to bully me aggressively and incessantly at school.
There are few sports I want to know less about than pro wrestling, which puts playing a game like WWE 2K23 somewhere south of playing an F1 game, and almost at survival/escape horror levels.
Although, to be honest, I once went on a hyperfocus bender on the performance side of pro-wrestling, so I know what a heel turn and face turn are, but the sports side? I was even LESS interested in knowing more.
I was fully prepared to dislike this game. I WANTED to dislike this game. I figured I'd get in, play 15 minutes and get out, have a little rant about it, and free up 80 gigs of precious SSD space.
I loaded it up. The game aggressively loading up on the wrong monitor helped. Forcing me straight into a tutorial without first letting me adjust the settings? Pump it into my veins. Hiding the settings menu somewhere other than the options menu? Just trying to get it working has eaten up a good chunk of my 15 minutes. I'm ready to rant.
However, it's not a fair review of the game, so into the tutorial with some guy named Xavier Woods, who's part of "The New Day". Already learning things I don't want to know.
Xavier tells me that I need to train so that one day I can face off against John Cena. The tutorial walks me through the various moves, and combos, and it takes me a bit over 15 minutes to complete.
There are a LOT of moves to remember. At least now I can give it a fair review... except it's straight into a Wrestlemania ring. Xavier is now dressed in pink and yellow spandex, and is going up against his first opponent...
John Cena. Apparently. I can't see him, but I know he's there (sorry, not sorry).
"One day" is today. I'm wrestling John Cena. I can remember some of the moves from the tutorial. I'm... oh no...
...I'm enjoying this.
