I don't do this too often but #today went to this little bar. Same place I met my wife. Sat there watching the rain. And the people. And did a repeat or two. Then hailed a tuktuk amd went home.
Nice day today. Met my daughter in law and her little girl for coffee and talk and more talk at Starbucks. Turns out she is my closest friend. Can also talk about anything. She's Khmer smart and kind and exceedingly patient with this barang.
Two wonderful surprises. My mom from Preah Vihear province came to visit. I got wonderful hugs and many Khmer endearments. I also found a flower in my walk for my wife. Well actually that’s two flowers. Picture of mom and I later.
'Portraits of Sculpted Stone' (2023) -- Several Hours into Our Exploration of Angkor Thom, We Arrive, Drenched in Sweat to the Splendors of Bayon, Siem Reap, Cambodia
So this was worked on as I walked. I have had these sensations awhile. Thought through them in rural Siem Reap. Decided to share here. Maybe I’m wrong. Plenty of space out there to write your take. Or comment on mine.
