I think one of the more harder part of Holly's job as ED of GNOME is to deal with the various fixations and culturalism of a desktop. We have a lot of hills that people want to die on.
It will take time to understand some things seem rather nonsensical to those who haven't been part of the app ecosystem.
Luckily, there are plenty of battle harden people around 😉
