hey #linux and #kde people on the fediverse, I'd appreciate some help --

I installed polonium recently and wasn't super happy with some of its functionality so I reverted to just using kde as is, but now i'm having some weird behavior where clicking on a hyperlink in discord won't focus firefox to display the link I just clicked on. Is there any way to easily flush old kwin script settings that might be interfering still? I'm not sure where that would live and I'd appreciate help because I really don't want to re-install manjaro but that's the best I got right now lol

I find extremely confusing the whole dbus service & object & interface thing, it makes no sense at all in my dumb head. But it is what it is.

Seems a nice post about #DBus.

Great news from @JanGrulich today. PipeWire camera patches are merged in Chromium and should be part of Chromium 127 (unless testing turns up something). This means both major browsers should have @pipewirep camera support soon. https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/3308882

If I would not have DX11 & DX12 games, I would only use #linuxmint desktop on my PC, and left Windows 11 behind. Approximately Steam library one fifth runs on #linux as well. Soon it will be better n better as having alternates: Vulkan, OpenGL. This is the only disadvantage remains for me. Every app has alternate or web PWA or whatever solution.

What are some dirt cheap, barebones Linux (or BSD) based server options? Mostly for web hosting etc.

I've used lowendstock and serverhunter, but those sites are not very dependable.

Any suggestions would be great!
