They gave me an "Intent to Promote" letter in #karate tonight, so I will be testing this Saturday for my green belt! I'm excited but nervous! I've been training really hard!
We have an exciting new #karate master hopping into the scene: The Karateka #Frog! 🐸🥋 Get ready for some ribbit-ting action and fierce yet adorable #martialarts moves!
And as the Karateka Frog practices its katas, it belts out a unique croak-sonata that echoes through the dojo. It's like a chorus of "ribbit" in perfect harmony!

Speaking of #karate, the toes I hurt the week before last got a little sore during class this evening, but not too bad. It's definitely good that I took a week off of karate even though I didn't want to!
Gutted by the passing yesterday of Demura Fumio sensei. Grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time with him as recently as January.
Spent much of last night talking with others about memories of him, and uniformly it was that feeling -- gratitude -- that arose from each one. Very few people have done as much for #karate in my lifetime as he did. He was a fierce fighter as well as a compassionate and loving human.
